Yeah I understand your point. I just don't know what to think anymore. Dude I'm getting frustrated.

I just wanted to vent my frustration. Lol
I get your point but what I don't understand is the motivation some people have of moving to another country no matter what. I personally wasn't trying to move anywhere before learning about express entry and only got into it because the process is straightforward and I can do it all from home, also had nothing better to do other than my job so why not hehe

Cancelling the backlogged apps would be IRCC screaming it out to the public "LOOK WE SUCK". 2012 was 10 years ago. So no, they won't cancel anything. But damn did the forum turn upside-down today.

Someone I know abandoned this PR process for UK school visa just this May. He will be traveling in September like this and we never know our bearing lol. Their study visa conditions is not difficult at all.

Although it’s not how fast but how well because, even with the 2 yrs post grad permit, getting PR in the UK is not easy after all the pounds spent. It can take years plus UK is expensive and I believe raising a family in Canada is more suitable than the UK in my honest opinion.

Canada is the fastest and cheapest in getting PR before they started this their witchcraft behaviour but my God pass them

I am in touch few affected students and wanted to suggest a silent protest at VO in India,. But these students don't seem to be the silent ones and looks like they will only ransack and burn the place. It would only hurt other applicants. So restrained from suggesting it.
yeah I get the situation is very painful and their feelings might cloud their judgement to over react. maybe when they are a bit calm then a protest can work but for now their blood is still hot which is also understandable.

That's the old Canadian immigration. What we have right now is an abomination and an embodiment of uncertainty. Canadian immigration was number 1 because it had little uncertainty. I believe people are realizing that it's not the same anymore so they're beginning to explore other options. As I said before, if IRCC doesn't do something soon, they'll have to continue with above-middle-age candidates and face difficulties in 10 years.

I hope the minister learned his lesson. You can't destroy the once flawless immigration system just to give out the "look we're protecting you" message that nobody buys anyway and just get away with it. He kept boasting about how good he did this year for all these many months and now of course it was bound to collapse at some point.

How to still save the situation is simple: Focus on giving PPRs to ALL deserving (all stages passed) apps, be it FSW or CEC or PNP. That saves this year's targets. Get back to FSW draws and worry about the remaining CEC apps which would take longer than 4 months to get to PPR next year. Those CECs will be on their temporary visas for another 2+ years anyway, it's okay if they wait a bit longer.

The main reason they started this immigration thing was to welcome in young skilled immigrants. Above middle aged candidates will do them no good and I refuse to believe they are that stupid. If we can see it I’m sure they can too.

I just want to know their plan cos the excuse of covid is not even acceptable anymore. With all the vaccines they get if they claim they are still struggling to adjust then what should 3rd world countries do. There is definitely something they are not saying.

These actions taken by IRCC will only add the need for more immigration in 10-15 years from now. With the 40s year old getting PR during 2021, will just add to the burden and fire of ppl retiring in the next 10 years....

Maybe these middle-aged candidates have children who will be working in a few years which should be great for immigration.

I'm from a third world country, we've always done much better than Canada all throughout the pandemic lol.

Young and skilled immigrants you say? Megadraw:

Young: Failed
Skilled: Failed
