Its probably due to Nova Scotia.
ELIGIBILITY
To apply you must:

  • have a full-time permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer in either NOC 3413 (Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates), NOC 7511 (Transport truck drivers), NOC 7521 (Heavy equipment operators (except crane)), or NOC 7611 (Construction trades helpers and labourers)
  • have 1 year of work experience related to the job;
  • be 21 to 55 years old;
  • have a high school diploma;
  • have the appropriate training, skills and/or accreditation for the job;
  • prove language ability equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4 even if your first language is English or French;
  • show enough financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia.
Okay so 44 year old construction labourer with barely functional english and high school diploma.

The thing is I don't know anyone who gives a IT job offer on LMIA..

I know people who can get me admin assistant / warehouse supervisor etc kind of NOC B jobs here but not IT jobs

Been checking with agencies but no luck. If you do know anyone who can help please do let me know
Which province are you in?

A lot of reasons but biggest was having faith in the American immigration system

Nobody should be having any faith in the US immigration system lol. I’ve spent 10 years here, gotten a degree, worked, paid taxes, and I still have zero chance of getting a green card atleast for the next 10 years. All because I happen to be a citizen of a country that has a set quota. Come to think of it, I could literally be a dual US-Canadian citizen in the same time frame if I just get Canadian citizenship and then try to get a US green card (not that I’d ever want to do that). This country has lost its mind when it comes to immigration- especially after 2015/16. They would rather have workers languish on job-tied visas because it will be easier for companies to take advantage of them that way.

All delays aside, I really love the fact that Canada is ready to take in all the talent it can get and make the process relatively easy. I don’t know how long it will take before the crazies in politics try to shut express entry down, but long May it continue lol

Its clearly you who did not think twice before making a stupid threat. If you have an argument to make, go ahead. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut “bro”. “Lol”.
Lol, okay daddy… hehehehe. But seriously how’re you? I don’t do online fights it’s pointless in my opinion.

I know that FSW people aren’t getting ITAs at the moment. But my point was purely focused comparing the FSW pathway in Canada to the current state of the US immigration system. Even if draws and normal processing times return next year (I think it definitely will and there’s no indication to say otherwise) ,FSW exists and people are incredibly lucky to have this option- especially workers from China/India etc stuck in the US looking to settle with some stability in their life.

For folks in Nigeria, 2023 is a volatile year. Elections are tricky here. At the moment, we faced with a lot of insurgency, lack and wants here and there. Now to get passport is hard and cost 3times the normal price just to beat the queue. Living now or before 2022 June is safer. I can’t speak for others but, for me I wish I left yesterday tho. Dollar price keeps skyrocketing. Damn, e no funny again o…

I work for a company with offices everywhere. Sometime back I got an opportunity to move laterally. Options were US and Canada. I chose Canada. I will not touch USA with a 10 feet pole as far as immigration goes. Its a fucked up country in that sense. Plus I have other issues with it. So Canada it was. Never regretted that choice.
