We already missed OINP few times because of our CRS 474, where the draws for OINP were 467 hahahahah I was literally crying and laughing. They are saying they need Health Care professionals but it does not look like that provinces are picking them up apart of Ontario BC, Alberta etc. are not choosing them. We thought it should be pretty easy to get a PNP as a Registered Nurse - but no, it is not as easy.

Despite all the trolling, I did have some semblance of hope for an FSW draw. It's all dead now. I feel disgusted with myself that I'm now desperately looking at the student visa option.

You're better off investing in a degree with a country that will give you 100% ROI at the shortest time possible. Fact is, if you are able to get a solid job in Europe after studies, PR won't mean much to you anymore. The experience works in a way that, even if you lose the job, you will be able to land something else that will keep you going.

for universities, the deadline is usually January for fall. It is competitive as well, you will need a solid GPA too. Today I am regretting my decision to choose US instead of Canada for my master's. I was so confident back then that due to sibling points i will anyways get an ITA. FSW cancellation just fucked my plans already.

Nope. Doesn't work that way. Sounds great in theory, but experience did jack shit for me in the US. There are still very restrictive time limits on finding another employer willing to sponsor you. Working on a work permit is always a risk when there are no clear pathways to PR or worker protections if you lose a job. At least with Canada if I work for a year and then I'm forced to leave, I'll still be CEC.

I highly doubt. Unless they will shift their focus on just CEC candidates which will be just crazy. God knows what they will do.

What do people on this thread have against Canadian education? What advantage does he get studying in Europe that is not available (or is not compensated for by the easier path to PR in Canada)?

I asked that as someone who turned down Grad school offers in Europe for Canada and had zero regrets about it.
