Oh not a deal at all. this isn't about making some pounds or cads, it's about detaching from one place and living somewhere else and come back later. I just left the job not my apartment and not selling it either, it'll be here
So you have like leave to remain already? Lucky bastard!! :)
I love the UK so much.

Mere curiosity. Wondering why you'd ever want to go to Canada if you have a pathway to stay in the UK. For people like me, UK is 100% impossible to get into.
why not. A new place to live, amazing landscapes, damn chilled winters. fun to me. it's crap here in london, either it's dull rainy days or hot summers, except for the mild snows we get on jan-feb. but the beers and my pals will be missed, and canada or toronto is cheap compared to london but i won't move to toronto, i'm looking towards somewhere east.

yeah, sort of. Our firm's solicitor extends everyone's permits on time. There's only a few good things in the UK, it's the english countryside, country women ,families, pastries and beer. Maybe i started disliking the cities so much : -D

Congrats, bro! It really can be worth it, just to get in a nice mind space before emigrating. So relaxing. :)

Different places suit different people. I, for example, reeeeeally don't like constant rain and gray skies. The only place that has that as much as the UK in Canada is the Vancouver area. So, weather alone is enough for some people to move somewhere else. Also, homes in Canada tend to be much larger than those in the UK, and if you go to the right city, can be much cheaper to buy than in the UK. Also, the culture is different in Canada, and that suits certain people better than the more reserved culture in the UK. It really just is about finding what you personally enjoy.

Yeah, London prices are absolutely insane. My friend who currently lives in the UK is looking just for a rental place. For the same price that he could rent an entire 2-bedroom apartment all for himself in Canada, he can only get a room in a shared place in London. And that's not even Central London. And he's a software developer, so it's not like his salary is even super low! Ridiculous. No thank you. :p He is moving to Ontario though, so he'll be away from that expensive lifestyle soon enough, fortunately.

I lived in holborn for three years and that's when i hated city life. later i moved to the eastern sides on the outskirts after told by some old folks that it's a better place to have some sun falling on you. and i moved but ffs i didn't change the job :))
