Just a wish, I know the reality is going to be harsh but I feel for everyone.
I am always trying to find some logic into every action ;) When you are doing something you are not trying to do everything in one go, you are taking more time, complete actions step by step. Same thing will happen here. We could see what was happening through the past year and since June we can see that things are slowly getting back on track. We can see that they want to restart their immigraiton service. Lets just wait. Be patient guys, it is closer than you think

Canada set to welcome fully vaccinated foreign travellers next week.

"Allowance comes at a time when Canada is battling a fourth wave of COVID-19.

On Sept. 7, Canada plans to open its borders to fully vaccinated travellers from across the globe, and let them skip the country's 14-day quarantine requirement.

The rule change is significant, as most non-essential foreign travellers have been barred from entering Canada since the start of the pandemic.

The federal government started to relax the rules last month, when it began allowing fully vaccinated Americans to enter and skip quarantine.

But some are questioning if Canada will actually go ahead with its current plans, because on multiple websites, the government continues to call Sept. 7 the 'intended' or 'tentative' start date for welcoming foreign travellers from outside the U.S.

'I've been kind of looking online every day, Googling to find out at what point is the government of Canada going to make a decision?' said Andy Green, of Halstead, U.K. He and his husband are set to fly to Vancouver on Sept. 9 for a 10-day vacation.

When CBC News asked the federal government to confirm the start date, it implied Sept. 7 was indeed a go — unless the pandemic suddenly takes a turn for the worse.

'Provided that the domestic epidemiologic situation remains favourable, the government of Canada intends to open its borders for discretionary travel by travellers from any country who have been fully vaccinated,' said Public Health Agency of Canada spokesperson Mark Johnson in an email".

I would not worry too much about it. They will only allow fully vaccinated people to come over. Majority of people that are getting tested positive and actually land in hospitals are people that were not vaccinated. I think it is waaaaay to late now to call this off. Look at that from this perspective. They ha to talk to airlines, hotel industry etc. etc. to actually make this available and make people ready for it to happen. When They were giving extensions, they were usually done 2/3 weeks before the actual date. Today we have Friday, till Monday we have only 3 days.

As expected! Now the wait to know what happens next begins - new reasons for further delays or PPR rains and all program draws. Interesting times ahead

Why new reason? Only fully vaccinated will be allowed to travel so there is no reason to stop that ;) Over 90% of cases that are hospitalised for covid are people who are not vaccinated ;) lol

I completely agree with you and honestly hope there aren’t new reasons lol :)
Yeah, that's the most interesting part of all this for me. Up to now, one of the reasons that could have been for not issuing CoPRs was that the borders weren't properly open. But once they are, what will the excuse be then?

Haha, thanks. I might not hang around. This place has a tendency to be very high tension.

The situation in Afghanistan is IRCC's fault? There are over 1,000 people with Canadian relation stuck in a warzone. I think we're lower priority, no?

It's not IRCC's fault on what's happening in Afghanistan.
But it is IRCC's fault on spreading the resources thin. IRCC can and should increase its resources in processing ALL applications.
