They will most likely request for your spouse's medicals again. You can be a step ahead by doing the medicals and sending it to them before they request for it. It will be on file for the officer to make a decision instead of sending a re-med request.
While I was contemplating the same, I also read different posts asking applicants to wait for IRCC to ask for remedicals. So was a bit unsure.

Okay, how the hell we missed this one. Now, we know who paused the FSW-O. So, this is why we got an E-mail in March. We could have gone with our fking lives had Marco been a little transparent instead of sending us a generic e-mail. It is clear that we could see raining PPR's because papa Marco has no good reason to pause again.

it kinda explains the delays in processing FSW-O applications. However, in my case, the last time someone touched my application was October 2020. My medical expired on March. I submitted my fingerprints in December but nothing has changed (it even says that I have to give bio). On this Saturday my application will have its one year anniversary.
The frustration keeps growing.
I wonder what the excuse will be after September 7 when tourists start to arrive….

It's always been a thing and it actually won't do any damage if you get it done. Worst case scenario? The officer will ignore it and seek for extension of the previous meds from the health branch.

To be honest, I'm beginning to manage my expectations towards that date. We aren't tourists so that news might have very little to do with our applications. I believe the one that concerned us was the June 21st announcement and we haven't seen considerable movement since then. Someone said they perhaps extended the embargo on finalization by another 3months. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. It's pure speculation right now. I honestly don't know what to think anymore.

PS: I think someone at IRCC deliberately leak that document due to the backlash they face from applicants on the internet. To me, it's a subtle way of saying ''you caused this'' to us from IRCC.

I am expecting no progress on outland applications other than US residents this year.

To me, when they announced these new border measures, I read them from this point of view: money and politics.
The majority of tourists that will arrive in Canada will be Americans. So this will boost Canada’s economy and the government will look great under the eyes of the market.
I keep asking myself: what’s the difference between an international student, a tourists and a PR? It all comes down to money.

That right there is a one million dollar question everyone's been seeking answers to. It's crazy how they rationalize then categories these things.

This is very interesting. I guess they are still finalising their plan of informing the clients about this delay.
I wonder if this was extended for a further 90 days, since outland applications are not being finalized now either (and there were no reopening plans end of May when this was supposed to expire). Anyway, no reason to continue this any further since there are no border restrictions for approved COPRs.

This is the logical thingy but the silence, even after this' already expired is what's baffling everyone. Also, who released this and why now?
