Damn dude, sorry to hear that. This is among my worst nightmares by the way. When I try to get tips on this from my Canadian friends, the only tip I get is "don't get sick". Hope you will be able to get treatment in Russia.

Yeah... I moved to Spain.

I don't know what happened. It was controllable but it started to progress super fast. Doctors in Moscow controlled it with medicine but maybe stress, maybe change in environment, maybe food... Idk. The worst part is that I couldn't get help in CA. I couldn't see a doctor without a reference and not a single walk-in clinic would give me a reference because they wanted me to try some over-counter medicine first. I had all of the docs, notarized, translated but nope. Have to try this medicine first. So, it progressed super fast and I had to leave the country.

We can recommend you some really good hospitals in India. (Being serious, 100%)

We have heaps of good hospitals that take care of patients from all around world because they couldn't get a date with their doctor or their doctor refused to treat them. You were planning to visit Delhi anyway.

I think at this point is too late to visit other countries for that. I need a doctor who will treat me and work with my doctor in Moscow. I also need to see every 3-4 months. Flying to India is kind of expensive. I would move there but you guys don't have friendly immigration laws like Canada does. Without that, I would not be able to move in a year or so.

His words and his opinion should not affect you that much. There is so much more shit in the world that's someone's opinion about the entire country. You will be given 5-star hotel like facilities in a hospital at a fraction of what it would cost in Europe. Please do some research on it. No trolling. You would have to research a good hospital. It would depend on the condition you have. If you can share the name of the condition, I might be able to recommend a good known hospital.

Edit: The hospital themselves will take care of your visa issue. They provide end-to-end package, where everything including stay will be take care of.

Ah, man. I am sorry to hear that.

We have a few specialized Cancer hospitals that are famous worldwide. But in general Lilavati hopsital in Mumbai (our celebrities get themselves treated there), Apollo hospital, Max Hospital in Delhi and Gurgoan are some of the known ones.

If you have can't find decent care in Europe, please consider India.

When I was in Vancouver, I made a good Russian friend. He and I did a lot of hiking. My AirBnb host in Calgary was Russian too. She guided me a lot when I was there. Other than that, I have met a few Russians in Goa as well. We get heaps of Russians in the winters in Goa. In the West, friendships work differently than in India. The Russians I met reminded me of my friends in India. Talking to them made me feel like Russian make friends like we do in India. Good people.
