I have no horse in this race from an immigration perspective, but I would say be careful what you wish for.

It's the conservatives who canceled all of the FSW applications that were in progress back in 2012.

I'm not disagreeing that resources are needed and processes have to work. Just saying that in very general terms, immigration policies and processes are going to be more favourable with a liberal government in power and less favourable with a conservative government in power. That's just how it is.

This is true :) lets not speculate about it - no point to make some people even more scared than they are already

Everything is pointing to the results being either a majority (less likely) or a minority (more likely) liberal government. So most likely we'll end up in the same situation we are now. I personally don't think there's any real chance of the conservatives winning the election.

I'm just honestly confused by some of the sentiments I'm seeing here where some people seem to want the liberals out and the conservatives in. If you are applying to immigrate, then you want the liberals to stay in power.

This is why I have mentioned that we should stay away from that topic hahahaha :D otherwise some people will start killing each other again, we do not need that now ahhaha :D

Personally, I don’t want the liberals out because even though the conservatives are also pro-immigration, they can decide to revamp the system again and change all existing protocols. It might lead to a better functioning system but I’m not sure most of us are ready to experience such an unpredictable change at the moment. I’m almost certain that the liberals will retain power but same minority stance most likely. I just hope they start taking outlanders more seriously after all this; that’s all I care about

I would advise guys to do not make a huge hopes just in case ;) however I know it is difficult to do that in that case :D
We are all used to it by now.. no matter what happens.. but the upcoming months give a lot of hope which was missing since last year

It is true. I was hopping on every draw since April that maybe this one will be something new, unexpected but nothing happened :(
