don't get the deal with inland(read CEC) applicants being impatient with their applications.. they have bridging visa with full work rights until a decision is made on their files.. the initiative on Kubeir's fb group today for filing a lawsuit for FSW ppr/finalization seems to be the right thing to do.. unless we raise our voices, ircc will continue to come up with lame excuses in sep/oct etc just like they are saying they can't finalize our applications due to travel restrictions(which does not exist if they issue us our COPR)
True.. they will not do anything untill we take the initiative to do something about it

In April they stopped granting extra time for ADR to be submitted because they seem to think covid no longer could be an excuse for delay in submitting ADR. Canada can't attract enough immigrants without a solid outland program. It's cold, far, got limited jobs, housing is crazy, schools are average etc. You won't see an exploding interest in study visas if they shut down outland programs, they'll have lost an entire branch in the end, that's what would happen. Canada is not Australia or NZ, Aus and NZ are far too but at least the weather is nice. Canada is usually the second choice if people can't somehow make it to Aus/NZ. I'd drop Canada instantly if they shut down their outland programs. Sorry, can't pay 100k CAD to some mediocre schools who aren't quite recognized anywhere only to be faced with survival jobs at best, if not completely jobless and even homeless in a cold country.
If Canada will allow me to carry my professional career to there with minimal interruption, that's awesome. But I won't go out of my way and pay that kind of money to live a shitty foreign student life for 2 years and be jobless with a PR after. With 100k CAD (about 70k USD) I could do much, much better in Europe.

Australia won’t restart immigration to high levels any time soon.
They had made it harder for outlanders to get invitation even before the pandemic.
Immigrating to Australia while offshore is not possible anymore. You have to be onshore for a chance. Those who got in prior to 2018 are the lucky ones.

This is expected to be the official launch of the federal election campaign. Sources have confirmed to CTV News the vote could be held as early as Sept. 20. If it is, the campaign would last 36 days, the shortest possible permitted under elections law.

My brother had to relocate back to home country because how hard the immigration became each year he was there,it’s nearly impossible to settle in Australia
Waiting for FSW draw has been a tiring process. Trying to find logics and reasons behind all what is happening since last 7 months and now am not able to convince myself. What if it continues to be like this for few more months or for an year? Canada will be having enough inland candidates to achieve their quota for the next three years with high CRS scores too.
Anyways, i would appreciate if you guys can advice if i choose study option. Here is my scenario, my wife will be applying for a one year student visa and will plan to travel together along with our toddler (My son will be almost 2 years old by May intake next year). My questions follows, appreciate if anyone can give me an idea regarding this.
1. One year study visa will get 1 year PGWP for the student. How about the spouse? Spouse will also be able to work for 2 years or the work permit will expire once the student apply for PGWP?
2. What are the chances of getting a job in Canada (Management role, into sales) with a work permit? Will i need an LMIA since am not being a PR at that moment? And what will be the average salary for Jobs related to sales for someone with 10 years experience (Sales Account management)?
3. Any idea how much it cost to live in Toronto for a family of three? With toddler, i guess the child care center fee will be too high.. am i right? Or will I be getting any subsidy from government? I know PR holders do have many options, but not sure about international students.

I concur. It's mind boggling how they expect us to wait indefinitely. If they're not planning to let fsw in until the pandemic ends they should say so, if entry is contingent on other variable factors just make a freaking announcement. Why is that so hard to do!?
