Hey guys,
Anybody know How bad Service Canada line ups are these days? I'm hearing some horror stories.
I'm landing this Saturday, so I'm planning to do a walk-in on Monday for a SIN application. I'll be in Vancouver.
Is it possible to make an appointment before landing?

I just scored an appointment in probably the busiest service Canada center in Ontario from my home country.

Go to this link:

https://eservices.canada.ca/en/service/

Fill out the form. Instead of choosing Outside Canada as your Country, choose Canada and then choose the province you are going to land in.

Give your home country number. They will still call you. Book one month in advance. Tell them the date of your landing and where exactly you will land.

The first time someone called they refused to give me an appointment and were very rude. The second time I filled out the form I was fortunate enough to speak to a sweet woman and she helped me book an appointment near the place I will be staying. Without the appointment, I would have to wait at least 6 hours in the queue. So be persistent, if it doesn't work out the first time, fill out the form again.

Can I technically still do a walk-in without an appointment, or will they send me back and tell me to make an appointment?
I might just bite the bullet and wait 6 hours in the line. I don't want to sit around for a month without a SIN...

Yes. You can do a walk-in. Google some Service Canada in your area and see which one has better ratings. You will be able to tell which ones you can come at 7:30am and walk out with a SIN, and which ones require you to queue at 5:30 AM in the morning.

For GTA, try these centers:

1000 Gerrard St E Floor, 2nd, Toronto, ON M4M 3G6, Canada
5353 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9B 6H8, Canada

Alright awesome, I just filled out the form. I'll see which dates they can offer and if I have to wait too many days after my landing, I'll just go line up and get it over with.
Really appreciate your help.

Hey guys,

I received an update in my IRCC profile, and looks like it's the RFV/PPR (depending on who you ask) - it says that 'The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa.'
I guess the wait is finally over! ITA - Sep 2020.

I am required to send them my passport and a few additional documents for the issuance of CoPR. However, the letter says that if I am in Canada, I am not required to submit the passport to IRCC.
I am currently in Canada on a WP, can anyone tell me how do I provide the requested documents to IRCC? They have asked me to inform them in case I am in Canada (I did that) but no further instructions on how to send them the requested documents.

Experienced folks - please guide! Thanks in Advance!

Guys, just got a request letter for Schedule A and FBI clearance. Am i also supposed to give them PCC for other countries (India) or just FBI? Little confused. Also, people staying in Canada, which route you went for US FBI clearance?

FSW Draws for 2022 would likely start from July to September 2022, and the number of invitations should be around 3.5k-4k. Plan accordingly.

A March 28, 2022 Memo to the Deputy Minister:
It isn't from July to September... It says BETWEEN July and September...
I thought you were saying that draws will start in July and end in September.
