@MajorGrom why are you saying this? I'm aware that they are taking a lot longer to process applications, but do you think that inland PNP applicants will also have to wait for longer than a year to hear back? I'm seeing on myimmigrationtracker that PNP nominees in Canada are getting their PPR between 4-8 months after applying.

With that said, can you please explain your rationale (maybe with numbers) for why you think applications will not be processed this year? (e.g., if we have a cap of 410k, with 120k already selected, this keeps a vast majority of PR cards yet to be issued - Ukrainians are receiving visitor or work visas, not PR cards, so this shouldn't impact those in the express entry system no? I understand that there might be delays, but they still need to meet their quota, which has a lot more room). I'm happy to hear back from you that I'm completely delusional here, haha.
You must be new here. It's always nice to see naive optimism masquerade as rationality from the newer members.

Thank you, I guess? haha
Would you mind explaining why you think that if I submitted my inland PNP in March 09, 2022, I shouldn't expect to hear back before next year?

Thanks!

lol why? Are you serious right now? Because what stops IRCC from focusing solely on Ukrainians (that conflict is FAR from being over) and then convert those to PRs under a different quota? Also, don't forget that Ukraine is hardly the last shit we will see. China and Taiwan are not exactly friends right now.

The rationale is very simple: IRCC has limited resources and those resources are busy. You are correct about Ukrainians receiving work visas, instead of PRs, but someone has to process those guys, right?

Seriously though, have the fine people as IRCC heard about sorting? Surely, it can't be that hard to sort files based on AOR date, right?

Almost everyone getting a PPR now has got a later AOR than I do.
Lol they don't have sorted() option in their system. I heard they have an octopus that points to the file numbers in the morning; those file numbers will be processed first.

I wouldn't expect anything. Just take my word. I know it's hard but c'est la vie.

I have been reading this thread (and previous one that was locked) and no one knows jack. There were people here who claimed that they received a reply to their email from one of MP (email was about draws) that says that: "Good news are coming in July". lol

Hi,

Could anyone please confirm a question regarding PCC.

I have been asked to provide PCC as per "Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18,"

In context of CoR - India, does this mean I have to obtain PCC from each state where I stayed for more than 6 months since the age of 18. Or just the one from regional passport office.
Thanks

I have a follow-up question then. If I should expect to wait for over a year to hear back, and the government's advice is not to travel while our file is being processed (I don't know what they mean by "do not travel frequently and/or for long durations", am I expected to stay in the country without being able to visit my family abroad?

They can go fuck themselves with their advise. Feel free to travel and visit your family. Just try not to stay for 6 months in row; or you can, just get a new PCC.

The point I am making is that it's pointless to pause your life because of IRCC.

Frankly speaking, I don't understand why you worrying or concerned about "looking for alternative". You are inland. Just wait.

I was talking about outlanders.

NDP calls on Alberta government to stop the push to 'Americanize' public health care

The Alberta NDP is calling on the provincial government to stop what it says are "plans to Americanize public health care in Alberta."

Opposition party leader Rachel Notley made the plea during an appearance at Calgary's Foothills Medical Centre on Wednesday.

During her speech, Notley said Albertans deserve a public health-care system that is strong and that they can rely on.

"Albertans deserve to know there is an ambulance on the way when they're in distress and a bed available at the nearest hospital," she said.

"Over and over again, the UCP has led our province down a path of health-care disruption, chaos and privatization. The UCP is driven to bring more American-style for-profit health care into our public Alberta system, and that's wrong."

The NDP's request for the UCP to stop the push to 'Americanize' public health care came the same day a pair of rallies are taking place in Edmonton and in Calgary to support public health care.

The rallies are planned by Protect Our Province Alberta, a group made up of health-care professionals that was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and come two days after it was announced that Alberta Health Services (AHS) president and CEO Dr. Verna Yiu, had been fired.

When it was announced, Health Minister Jason Copping said in a statement the change had been in the works for some time, and the recruitment process for Dr. Yiu's replacement is under way.

"It's time to move forward with an ambitious agenda to improve and modernize the health system, and renewed leadership in Alberta Health Services will support delivering those changes," Copping said Monday.

"We promised Albertans better access to surgery and a stronger publicly funded health system with better access overall. The pandemic has changed the timelines but it hasn't changed the goals," he said.

Notley said the "unceremonious" firing of Yiu is the UCP's way of "clearing the desk for even more chaos and upheaval in our health-care system."

"The fact that they had to fire her to make way for their changes should raise the alarm for every Albertan," she said. "The UCP is coming for health care and they are coming fast."

"Recently, (Alberta) Budget 2022 doubled the proportion of surgeries Alberta contracted out to private facilities, taking important resources out of the public system.

"What we've seen in this last budget is this government's decision to take $100 million out of the health budget compared to what was spent last year."

Notley is calling on Premier Jason Kenney and Health Minister Jason Copping to "stand down."

"I am calling on them to take their plan for cuts, chaos and American-style health care off the table and put it on the ballot, with honesty, so that Albertans can make the choice.

"Put our plan against their plan in the next election and let Albertans decide."

Seems like only Ottawa is issuing PPRs now and RROC and other international VOs are taking a nice long rest after a few days of light work. Taking time off to take time off for Easter holidays. They are literally playing tag-you're-it with our files. It's so funny it's depressing. Darn wouldn't wish this PR process on my worst enemy
