So I see PNP PPR rain for Post July 2021 AORs. What happened to pre-July 2021 and 2020 AORs? Have they been mostly processed?
As far as I know people from early 2021 AOR still waiting. In fact one of my friends whose AOR is April 2021 received his GCMS notes and his eligibility and security has not been started yet.

My work history is like hall of fame so I should be good? I really expect my dumbass refs to miss IRCC's email.

Again: Can I see in GCMS notes if IRCC failed receiving a response from refs?

Question 2: My employer had responded to Alberta when they asked for AINP. Does IRCC communicate with Alberta for this? That'd speed shit up.
I don't think they'll call your refs if Alberta already did. SINP emailed my rep. for my PR app, IRCC didn't contact them. From my notes, my eligibility was completed in 2 days - for both analysts and case officer.

Yes, not much traction for AOR Jan - June 2021.
That's hww we know it's clearly all about looking good for IRCC. Processing July 2021 and up makes it seem they are really keeping the 6-month processing time promise.

Where in Sask are you settled if I may ask and how do you find it?

Yes exactly, but let's hope for the backlog to clear by June.

Regina. Not bad at all. It doesn't take much to please me so I'm enjoying it :) .
The winter is brutal but the kids are loving it.
Ahh looks real pretty and peaceful from Google pics :) I can Imagine, you moved from SA during late spring/early summer yeah? Not to brag or anything but It's really pleasant down here atm, the weeks long la niña heavy rains only stopped a couple of weeks back, before then it didn't really feel like a typical SA summer...but now! :p Tempted to head down to Capetown for a weekend before autumn hits.

I miss SA weather, not gonna lie :) . We moved in August so it was still kinda chilly back home. It was Summer in Regina and we were lucky to experience a good few weeks of lovely summer weather (high 30s even) before Fall and then Winter. The snow is BEAUTIFUL (we don't get much of that at all in SA as you know), I think it will take a while for the novelty of it to wear off :).

I'm glad we got to experience summer here, cos it's the one thing that makes the harsh winter bearable, knowing what summer here feels like and knowing it will eventually come around again.

Are you considering moving to SK? It's really lovely, homey and peaceful. Everyone is super nice too.

So I applied using an immigration lawyer and we had a good conversation after they informed me that I got my PPR. According to them, IRCC is fucking flying through the apps. If you have an ITA, you will get processed in 2022. Their target is to wrap up the entire backlog by June this year. And it shows, my PPR time line is less than 6 months. I know someone who got it in 4 recently.
Just to clarify so it includes FSW-O also? Because I am sure pnp and cec will be done on june

Maybe Chinook decided your work history was too good to be true and now they have employed the services of global security agencies to investigate your background.

Your security prolly gonna take 5 years minimum. Sorry buddy, that's what you get for being too good for Canada ;).

Sask and Alberta sound like great places to be if you can find a decent job in those regions. It's affordable and people are way nicer. Winter is rough but if you have the right mentality i.e. doing winter activities, I don't think it's a problem. I'm looking to see if I can move to Alberta...just need the right job

I'm in the mining space and while SK is one of Canada's top mining jurisdictions I don't think I'd wanna live there. 90% chance I'll be working FIy-in fly-out 14-14 rotation somewhere very remote on a camp somewhere. On my 14 days out I think I'd want my base to be somewhere more vibrant and bustling so I can meet people and socialize so I'm leaning towards Calgary. If I had it my way...I'd always be out of the country during my 2 week time off...maybe after I get citizenship

Do you get snowstorms in Regina? I can live with snow as long as it is not windy.
