Hi everyone, a friend of mine got his PR visa recently. His final destination is Halifax Nova Scotia but he has a layover connecting flight in Montreal Airport. He is confused if the immigration office at Montreal Airport can finalize his immigration stuff even if Montreal is not his final destination or immigration province? Would be thankful if you can provide a useful feedback.

nothing is wrong but I don't think it is one of the missions of EE.
The mission of EE is to select young, decently educated, english or french speaking individuals... Trouble (for you seemingly) is, those happen to be mostly Indians.

Everything. Why don't you wanna live in India? And maybe you don't mind living in India but I sure as hell do; otherwise I'd have immigrated to India and not Canada. Country quota is a must.
Lets start with you first, why don't you want to live in your own country?

You are right, Indians have the highest scores by numbers, there's no doubt. But there is also a social element at play. If 50%+ of new imms are indians, it could cause negative social consequences (to indians). But anyways, we are not citizens, our opinions are irrelevant so no point talking about it

Let me ask you this : You have issues living in India OR you have issues living with Indians? For the former, answer is simple. You don't go there. For the later, I am sorry to say but Canada's own constitution and values do not support what you are looking for. If that is the case, I guess Canada is not right fit for you. Look at southern United States and you will find what you are looking for. It will be a separate issue if people over there will like to live with you or not.

Fluctuating economy. I'm culturally fully compatible with my country and Europe and the west in general.
Well, for me it is lack of economy. India does not really have an economy which can make best use of my skills.

Yeah that's a fine line. Like I said in my previous post I'm 100% cool with living with any people, it's just not the right mix when easterners are the sheer majority. We didn't immigrate to China/India for a reason. West and East are fundamentally different in terms of culture and no westerner likes to live in an east-dominated culture. They won't tell you this in real life but these are just facts. Do you see a lot of westerners permanently moving to the east? No. There's a reason why exactly the opposite occurs.

So yeah I hope no Indian/Chinese fellows are getting upset, I like em all but when it's 80% of you guys and 20% of western people it's just no longer the west.

Let me put it in this way. India is MASSIVE population-wise and Indian economy is very un-diversified. Its still heavy on agriculture for employment with some very specific kind of service based industry thrown in. So skilled people have to move elsewhere. That and pay in India is minuscule. It just tells us that there is an over supply of people with skills (no comment on quality of those skills, however...). A number of them look for greener pastures.

Countries are defined by political boundaries and it never makes sense to base quotas off of that. I would argue that India is as diverse as the entirety of Europe in terms of cultural and genetic makeup (of ethnic people).

Besides, the only form of diversity that should play any role in an economic immigration programme is diversity of job skills/qualifications.

Canada per say is not too heavy on maintain any particular mix what so ever. Probably it is not possible for them to immigrate in mass (200K+) and yet keep the incoming population spread out around the world. West tends to be developed so not too many people there are seeking emigration. Eastern Europe tends to prefer EU in general --AFAIK. Closer to home and easy to get a job.

Canada will simply become China/India and that's precisely what our Chinese/Indian friends are running away from.
No. We are running away from an undeveloped(India)/oppressive(China) country, not from each other. Unfortunately it is not possible to either develop India or to dislodge Chinese Communist Party from China.

Then Canada should ban india and china and wait how many westerners will move to a freezing cold country! hehe i don't know of any idea tho
so far i have not come across one british / scottish / irsih person who moved to canada unless it was related tot heir spouses/gf/bf
No need to ban anyone, there are many bright minds wanting to move from India/China to Canada. Why lose out on those people? But balance is crucial or it's only permanent failure of hard earned western values that awaits. Solution is simple: country quota.

I do understand country quota means less immigrants coming in because most prospective immigrants are Chinese/Indian. The solution to this second problem is in investigating why Canadians/westerners lost their interest in forming larger families.

May I ask what so great about this "balance"?

right now Canada is trying to increase the population with people who will breed more children. so bringing a quota now is useless I'd assume. When they feel that their country has attained some population then the thought arises of bringing quotas like the US did,

The second and following generations of such immigrants won't be leaning towards the eastern core values i believe.
