Yes, I included in my response a Letter of Explanation, telling them that I am working in Canada. I also provided them my pay stubs, my contract and my Work Confirmation Letter, telling them I am taking care of myself well in Canada. I asked my boss and he said he didn't know LMIA.

The assumption (or the scenario assumed in that memo) is -- 78000 people will be enough to meet ALL the quota of this year. So, most likely in June they will start with rounds but with small number of invites... like 1000 at a time or so inorder to NOT create a backlog for next year.
Shorter processing times (i.e. easier applications), less wasted ITAs, PRs already "landed", further incentivizing 100k per candidate per year on Canadian degrees. Travel restrictions was the excuse, not the reason.

Do you have the actual numbers? I'd love to take a look. I don't consider reading canadavisa threads as being representative of the actual situation. And this forum is not proof of anything. It's as reliable as immitracker, if not less so. And we can all agree on how shitty immitracker is to form any consensus with.

I mean I hope you're right, but I doubt it.
Lately everyone is echoing same thought about CEC, IRCC tried options and without single FSW draw they were able to manage the target. What will be better way to bring new PR by attracting Work permits and students. Australia and Newzealand already in this phase because they want to stay relevant for workers and students.

Look at this another analysis -

In december there were 15000 CEC and 55000 FSW applications were pending. Somewhere it was mentioned that in each application there are 2.3 candidates. By Jan end, CEC should be left to nothing with 16000 processing capacity and priority was CEC back then. Let say about 5000 left application processed this month, which will bring new 11,500 PR. Subtract from overall 2022 intake which will be 98000 appx. Also to note recent FSW PPR will land after couple of months, let say 6. Incoming from Feb to June will still have void. Some will be filled by PNP. If there will be only CEC draw then appx 42,000 invitation need to be send in next 6 months, which comes to 7K ITA per month, i.e 3.5K per draw.

What's the Visa you have now?
since this is IRCC / canada you are dealing with, i don't think they'll do anything logically. so to be in the safe side, arrange the funds quickly before it's too late
i'm helpless as i'm outland, my funds are fixed and some in the cibc since november so : /

I would suggest the same.

If they ask for proof of funds, you give them proof of funds. Thats about it.

I'm on Work Permit for the last year and I'm extending my Work Permit. I don't know what to do and why they ask that. I used a part of it to survive in Canada during this Covid time

damn, is it possible to get an OVERDRAFT from your bank?
edit your original post and Tag @legalfalcon for a better solution.
if possible consult with an immi lawyer quick. IRCC would have picked your file if in case to finalize it or give the ppr

I just heard 2 people getting their meds extended but no update on the portal. IRCC agent told them it is a possibility that you'll not see the update anywhere but GCMS. What kind of sorcery is this? Anybody know anything about this?

That kind of sorcery forbidden outside Hogwarts.
