In feb: If they keep the targets at around 110,000 for FHS, will it mean that they are not reducing the targets by half, as mentioned in the memo? Also, will it mean that sometime later this year they will continue with the fsw? Also if we learn french and get the score above 500 will it result in getting pr or even that hope is gone now???

The provinces are now competing to see who can invite the lowest CRS scores. Point Alberta. Who's next?
Alberta always invites low scoring inlanders who are studying or working in the province. Sometimes they invite outlanders but those scores tend to be very high.

First few questions: Nobody knows. Wait for three weeks for an update. More likely scenario is you wait till July and hope for a surprise draw.
Regarding french, let's put it this way. If you learn french, there's a very very very very small chance that you may some day maybe kinda get an ITA IF you're lucky. Without french, you don't even have that chance unless you're eligible for PNP. But if you were, you wouldn't be asking this.

So your options are:
1. Learn french to get a 0.00001% of getting an ITA
2. Stumble across a bag of money so you can justify buying a PR in exchange for a useless degree

Disgusting behavior, when there's so many deserving CECs in the pool who've paid their 7$ in taxes every year for the 18 years they've lived in canada, and still haven't managed to learn proper english.

There are 76k FHS in the backlog which is more than enough for this year's target so there is no point in giving ITA's till June and any ITA's given from July onwards will count towards next year's target based on six months processing time, all this is explained in the new memo.

If you received a PNP nomination and it got approved you then receive the extra points and obtain the ITA via the FSW program. You're then considered a PNP-EE candidate which is separate from the "regular" FSW candidates? I believe there is a difference in processing speeds between the two right?
Once you received and accepted your PNP nomination in your EE profile, IRCC gets the hold of your file and, under normal circumstances, you're processed as any other FSW is processed. You go through the same steps of R10 check, medical exam check, eligibility check, info sharing, security check.

BUT, the current circumstances are not normal obviously. So PNP has been a bit faster yeah.

I reached out to my local MP here in Burnaby, someone from his office asked for details about the application. Any idea whats the turn around time for them to get an update from IRCC?

IRCC replies to MPs within 48 hours. They are pretty fast in that matter!

From my buddy #foreverBS

FSW-O
Residence Country: Germany
Visa office: Vienna
NOC: 2172

Medical: 2020-12-01
AOR: 2020-12-01
Medical expires: 2021-12-01
Receive a letter requesting passport: 2022-01-19

Today I got a letter asking me for my passport, after which they can give me the COPR. It also says the COPR will expire 1 year after medical, which in my case, is already 2 months ago. It did not ask me to do a re-medical. Does anyone know in this case, what will be my COPR expiration date?

Thanks!
