Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone,

I want to apply for FSWP and here's my background:

I have a US Bachelor's Degree and a UK Master's Degree. I have high IELTS scores (8.5 band). So I'm pretty much all set in that regard.

Before my Master's degree I worked at a small company for a year and I have the employment letter with all the necessary information on it. (Hours, wages, responsibilities etc.) The only issue is, this is all I have. I worked for cash, so I don't have any payslips, deposits, or tax slips etc.

Do you think I can apply with this background? Or should I work at another place for a year to be able to provide more of a paper trail. The only thing is I really wouldn't want to wait another year just to be able to provide more documentation when I already fit all of the criteria for the program.

Any advice appreciated. :)

Anyone? I know no one can say anything for certain but I just want to know if I'm risking anything by submitting my application.

Hi,
Obviously im not an expert but i think you are atleast not risking anything, but can this experience be verified through phone, etc coz if you dont provide more documents CIC will need to verify your claim in other ways, i havent but u shud go over their document list for EE on CIC website that might give u a heads up on the documentation that is mandatory.

good luck

Hi All!

I am closely considering to apply for Express Entry under FSW asap. However, I am a bit confused about my work experience eligibility. FSW states that applicants should be having atleast 1 year continuous, full-time relevant employment and then in the bracket mentions (30 hours/week or 1560 total hours)

I have had two work experiences in the past in the same occupation and I shifted from both in less than 1 year. In the second employment though, I have completed more than 1560 continuous working hours in like 11 months and 21 days approx. which comes to around 1900 hours considering all the holidays and other things. I will also receive an employment certificate showing the number of hours.

Do you think getting an experience letter of continuous, full-time relevant work experience of more than 1560 hours will get me qualified or the issue will wander around me not completing an experience of 12 months by missing merely 9-10 days (I had to move out for further studies)?

Thanks for your help buddies! Best luck with your applications!!! :D

There is a discussion about this on this thread too:

From what I understand, you have to have at least 1 year of full-time experience, no questions. That is to say, even if you've worked the 1560 hours but only worked for 11.5 months, it doesn't count. The 1560 hour specification is only used to calculate part-time experience equivalency. You can check out the thread above for more clarification.

Good luck!
