Hi,
Based on my application (main applicant, born, living and studied in England) I have scored 66 points. We can also add another 5 points because my wife has a sister in Canada (sister is Permanent Resident). This gives us a Total of 71 points.
Based on this we are good to start application, however, I have been told by my immigration lawyer told that my wife should do the IELTS General course to gain a maximum of 5 points (spouse based) to ensure we have extra points in case there are any issues relating to my work experience.
In your experience is it worth my wife doing the IELTS general course?
Also what are the chances of the candian authorities questioning my work experience? We have a detailed reference from ex- company which states my role, employment dates and job responsibilities. The responsbilities are about 50% of what it says in NOC2171.
Thanks,
