With regards dun sa mga nagtatanong sa passport.... Hinanap ko yung PPR Letter na pinost ni Gogocanada and ito yung requirements para sa passport:
2. The original passports for yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Please enclose your passports in a secure envelope, clearly indicating your file number on the envelope. Do not staple and submit old passports together with your recent passports. Please remove passport jackets/covers.
To ensure timely processing and to facilitate your travel, we strongly recommend that you submit the new red-colored passports currently being issued by the Philippines authorities as they are in compliance with the machine-readable passport requirement of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Ang intindi ko dyan basta MACHINE READABLE yung passport mo ok yun. Yun unang issue na Maroon passport na walang chip eh MACHINE READABLE din po iyon.
Please see this link regarding the types of passport na ini-issue ng DFA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_passport
Yung may chip na sinasabi eh machine readable din kaso with added features of security, ang tawag dun eh e-passport or biometric passport.
Hope this helps..... Any corrections are welcome kung mali ang pagkakaintindi ko.....
