Took us 10 months of research to decide on that... and we finally decided Winnipeg

2nd to lowest unemployment rate (toronto has highest unemployment rate)
lowest cost of living (vancouver tops)
lowest cost of daycare services (toronto tops)
9.50 minimum wage (vancouver is 8, toronto is 10.5 yata)
more laid-back life which we wanted for our kid

another best option is calgary... really booming.. would have chosen there but we know no one there to serve as guide and support system...

any suggestion where is the best to live in canada.. cheaper and bigger job opportunities?

before nung grabe hope pa namin sa applicatiion with all the blessings, grabe na search ko with the places to settle in canada, it usually depends kung ano main concern mo eh, like in my case kasi, main concern namin is yung crime rate, so as of this time, we choose toronto, kahit na sabi nila, overcrowded, grabe competition with job opportunities, dun pa rin kami, sa calgary namin, maganda daw job opportunities dun at booming pa sila, pero grabe naman crime dun, based to sa naresearch ko, kahit saang quadrant ka man, may tendency na makapagwork ka sa downtown, so hindi pa rin safe, mga racists dun nagsettle sa calgary since legal sila dun kasi pinaalis sila sa toronto, at target ng mga racists ay yung mga immigrants, based lang to sa na research ko so please no flaming po

kaya kahit may tita ako dun, as in total erase na sa options namin ang calgary, pero it depends naman talaga, may iba naman nakapagsettle na walang na experience na kahit ano, sa amin kasi what if sayo mangyari di ba, sa toronto, meron din naman, kaya plano namin sa downtown toronto talaga magsettle kahit na medyo expensive since maraming tao so safe

may nabasa pa ako before na kakaland lang nila sa calgary, pinasyal sila ng relative nila, pagpunta ng mall maraming lasing

sa toronto may mga ganun din naman usually sa mga stations ng train, so dun na lang kami sa downtown area para walking distance na lahat

@ianne_BP - I agree with @lizz... nasa sa iyo kung ano ang priorities mo and kung ano sa tingin mo ang mas importante for you and your family... in the end ikaw ang magweweigh kasi ang daming considerations..

- budget on hand
- cost of living
- job opportunities
- benefits
- climate
- crime rate
- support system

Nasa net naman lahat ng information kaya tyagain ang research

sa calgary ok dun sa job opportunities as in, then yung mga residential areas maganda din especially SW at NW na quadrant

pero sabi nila kung wala ka daw kakilala mas better sa toronto since hindi ka mahirapan in terms sa adjustment period

oo nga noh, nagawa naman nila before na kinabukasan issue na agad ng MR eh, sana ganun na lang, ngayun nagbigay pa sila ng 1 week para sa re assessment

yup yung iba naman vancouver coz of the weather, kami naman gusto sana namin yung lamig ng calgary or kahit saan basta may snow

Prang hindi ako excited makareceive ng AOR not like nung PER nun, parang talagang gusto ko mag ala gary V, shout for joy. Siguro pag nalampasan natin itong stage na ito or pag aVISA na lang dun na lang yung shout for joy..

BTW, our initial plan is Ontario sa kaibigan ng wife ko, ala kaming relative dun sa canada. Pero nung dumating naman yung isa pa nyang kaibigan sa newfoundland and labrador ( ang pronounciation pala nun eh newfindland thanks to her). Her feedback about that place is very good, konti pa lang pinoy daw, and sa job makakatulong daw sya. Ngayon, di na namin alam kung san. Pero syempre, later na namin iisipin yun. Mgka VISA muna priority. Hindi ko nga rin pa maisip gawin yung credentialing ko and her because of this nga.

na contact ko na nga sya and she promised to help me find a job na in advance

sa toronto naman pala to add, grabe traffic since over populated na sya at may pollution din

we know some friends and family scattered in canada and each would say dito maganda, dito the best, dito ganun, dito ganyan kaya nalito kami ng husto in deciding... kaya study well...

hay after all the planning and research we have made... sana naman positive ang ending... sabi ng iba "claim it and you shall have it"... think positive na lang tayo... and pray pray...

hello guys, ask ko lang sana if meron nakaexperienced nito,

denied application namin last march,then according dun sa agent namin based in canada na nareturned na raw sa kanila yun bankdraft namin but w/ out the documents...is this possible na hindi sabay ireturn yun docs & BD?kun ano ano na tuloy naisip namin, na baka iniipit nila(agency) yun docs, kasi they're still convincing us na irereapply nila sa july.guys dun sa mga previously refused ganito rin ba xeperience nyo?
