Hi,
I did IELTS 2times,
first one scores are:

Overall Band 6.5
Listening 6.0
Reading 5.0
Writing 6.5
Speaking 7.5

second exam results:
Overall Band 6.5
Listening 7.0
Reading 6.0
Writing 5.5
Speaking 8.0
is it possible to send both original test results, as my writing skills in the first exam was good enough, but not in the second exam.
and how many points total.
kindly advise....

No - you may not submit both results. Your scores must be all from the same test or you will be rejected.

Hi All,

Just a quick one, my wife is the Primary applicant and on IELTS she has scored as below

Primary Applicant

Listening 6.0 -----> 4 points
Reading 6.0 -----> 4 Points
Writing 6.5 -----> 5 Points
Speaking 8.0 -----> 6 Points

Total points acquired - 19 points (hope the calculations as per CIC its correct)

As a second applicant i too gave the IELTS to acquire additional 5 points

Listening 6.0 ----> 4 points
Reading 7.0 ----> 6 points
Writing 7.0 ----> 6 points
Speaking 8.0 -----> 6 points
Total Points - 24 Points

Now my question is if i have gotten better points than the primary applicant do i still get 5 points for this or does it increase our points together?

The most you're scores is worth is 5 points. It doesn't increase her score as you are the dependant and she is the primary applicant

Hi All,

I need 21 points more to qualify for 67 points -FSW Program.

my ILETS SCORE are-

Listening: 6.5
Reading: 5.5
Writing: 6.0
Speaking: 7.0

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall: 6.5

Can anyone please tell me what exactly I score in terms of points?

----ANY ALTERNATIVES OTHER THAN IELTS SCORE--- IF I COMPLETE FRENCH CERTIFICATION FROM ALLIANCE WILL I GET THAT 5 POINTS EXTRA???

PLS ADVICE

Hi,

Except Language ability score, based on my experience and education,age i got 46 points. and if i get CLB 8 in ielts which is L-7 R -6.5 S-6.5 W-6.5 i will get only 66 points(46+20). My consultant is telling that i need to get CLB 9 which is L-8 R-7 S-7 W-7.

My question is If i get L-7 R -7 S-6.5 W-6.5 then in Reading my band will be CLB 9 so i will get 21 points in FSW for language ability. Am i calculating true or not?

Points for each language ability will be calculated individually or not?

i mean CLB 8 in Listening, CLB 7 in Reading,Writing,Speaking like this if some one got then whether the points will be 5+4+4+4 or 4+4+4+4..

Please reply me ASAP.

Thanks in Advance.

You're actually ineligible because the minimum requirement for all four categories is a "6".

On your next test, you'd need to maintain your scores for listening, speaking, and reading AND improve your writing score to a 6 or above or you'll be considered ineligible.

Good Luck

L-7 = 4 points
R -7 = 6 points
S-6.5 = 5 points
W-6.5= 5 points

total is 20 points .

Hi, you are ineligible for FSW - the minimum score required for all four sections is a "6" You'll have to improve your writing score on your next test to be considered eligible.

Good Luck.

Depends how you plan to apply. If you want to apply for FSW, your score is too low. You need a minimum of 6 in each of the four categories.

It looks like you were planning on apply through FSW based on your historical posts. So your score is definitely too low and you will be refused if you apply now. You need to write the test again and acheive a higher score.

Dear johnny 31,

Hello,

Please let me know my points for the below IELTS scores. My consultant told me that I have just 16 points which would make me 3 points short of the total 67 points. But when I tried calculating using references in other sites, I get 19 points instead .I am confused with points calculations and please help me out

Listening - 7
Reading - 6
Writing - 7
Speaking - 6.5

Dear this is 16 only points ur consultant is absolutely right you category falls in clb 7 which is combination of 6 bads each ability. You can onlyy claim 20 points if u hv 6.5 in all ability and listening 7.5 then only. Ur score falls in 20 point category (clb 8) if u would hv got 7.5 in listening amd 6.5 in reading. Remeber bemchmark means to fall in paticular category its not selecting from thebtable.. anyone if think that its difficult to find how many points he will get plz follpw the proper clb level from cic website..
