is it 16 (4 each ability) or 22 ? I am little confused with the explanation provided at cic website

You get 6 in all the categories except LISTENING. That means 18 points + LISTENING ( I guess 4 points ), total 22 points.

No, you have secured BAND 5.5 in Reading whereas CIC needs minimum BAND 6 in each area in order to consider you eligible.

You will be rejected with this score.

The minimum score allowed for all four sections is a '6' - so you'd have to improve your Reading score if you want to be eligible for FSW.

I did IELTS 2times,
first one scores are:

Overall Band 6.5
Listening 6.0
Reading 5.0
Writing 6.5
Speaking 7.5

second exam results:
Overall Band 6.5
Listening 7.0
Reading 6.0

Speaking 8.0
is it possible to send both original test results, as my writing skills in the first exam was good enough, but not in the second exam.
and how many points total.

Hi All,

Just a quick one, my wife is the Primary applicant and on IELTS she has scored as below

Primary Applicant

Listening 6.0 -----> 4 points
Reading 6.0 -----> 4 Points
Writing 6.5 -----> 5 Points
Speaking 8.0 -----> 6 Points

Total points acquired - 19 points (hope the calculations as per CIC its correct)

As a second applicant i too gave the IELTS to acquire additional 5 points

Listening 6.0 ----> 4 points
Reading 7.0 ----> 6 points
Writing 7.0 ----> 6 points
Speaking 8.0 -----> 6 points
Total Points - 24 Points

Now my question is if i have gotten better points than the primary applicant do i still get 5 points for this or does it increase our points together?
