I finally went ahead and ordered GCMS notes. I really pray this will prompt CIC to process my application and generate some movement. It's been around 9 weeks since my BG went into "In Progress". Hoping for some good news by this month. :

By the way I was lurking around the FSW 2014 forum/threads yesterday and apparently they had some PPR movement yesterday from the Ottawa office.

Not that cool though. EE should take priority as we already have the July guys waiting for 6 months. On the otherhand, it's not unusual for paper app to span over 12 to 18 months.

All good anyways, we have no other choice than to keep hoping.

can we please request you to share your GCMS notes here, after omitting any of ur personal data ofcourse....like what was that last recorded activity that you mentioned was written on the day of your background in progress update....what is the status of criminality check etc. it will really help us out, those of us waiting like you.

Thanks for sharing. So it seems that "bg in progress" for outland seems to be a good sign. At a minimum on the same date everything is passed. So far everyone who fits the pure outland category and has bg in progress after a few months has everything passed on the same date as "bg went in progress". Some also have RFV or ready for visa in their notes.

I think you are very close and it is just a matter of time before you get PPR. Goodluck!

Thanx a ton, it did good to calm my nerves a bit as it does support the assumption that BG update is a good sign...
Im thinking with the new Govt CIC has been reprimanded for the backlog and therefore may be intent on clearing that up ASAP, like the paper based apps that have been tagging for so long... I do wish they'd hurry up... My GCMS should reach me 1st of Feb hopefully won't need them (either way)

I actually read in cic procedure manual that organised crime does not need to be disclosed or included in gcms notes.
