checking the forum secretly hehe

just wanted to stop by and say heloo.... I hope we will see some benefits from the new goverment, even if we did apply already. it is about time some good fortune comes our ( at least my hehe ) way!

Hey! I'd be lying if i said i wasn't checking the forum on a daily basis... I think we're still all locked in an 'application constipation' state... Hopefully some movement this weekend, or early next week? I've made my peace with the fact that i'll probably get DM sometime in December. Hopefully a positive DM.

As far the new government, from what i've been reading here and there, it looks like outland FSW are going to benefit the least, if at all... they might tweak the calculator a little bit to give FSW outlanders more points if they have a direct family in Canada (they're all about reuniting families)... Other than that, I don't think outland FSW's stand to gain substantial benefit from the new government..

In all cases, I still hope that by 2016, we will all have gotten our PPR's... fingers majorly crossed!

We received your application for permanent residence on August 21, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 21, 2015.
We started processing your application on August 25, 2015.
Medical results have been received

The 4th line was added on 14th Oct (mass update for everyone)

I don't remember seeing 'Application received' as a status on my page but I don't check my ecas daily. Is this the 2nd In process or the 1st one, based on your judgement?
And what are the realistic timelines I should expect for my DM? I have already paid the full fee(550 + 490) in one go for both me and my wife while submitting my application (FSW Outside).

Firstly, this is just a pure guess. I made my own monitoring of outlanders who got DM from RPRF request.

The average is 2 months. In my case, I got it this October so I speculate that it will be this coming December.

Getting it earlier is great but given the batch processing, late November may be the earliest.

For upfront RPRF, i guess you just compare with other timelines plus the applicants who did't pay rprf upfront.

You got RPRF request on 10th sep along with additional documents request. What docs they asked for? What does your BG status say on CiC site. In my case it has not started. Which country are you applying from?

Since I paid my RPRF upfront I guess thats why there was no update in my ecas.

Hi there. Untill you get a rejected message in your cic, it doesnt mean anything.. might be just one of many many glitchess...

Since I paid my RPRF upfront I guess thats why there was no update in my ecas.

I got RPRF last October 7 actually. The CIC letter states that I am eligible in the intended occupation. For sure, both of us having similar timelines mean that your application may be done with the eligibility test too. They only termed the RPRF request as additional doc. Clearly, it is for the reason of uploading the RPRF OR.

My BG has not yet been started.

As per my research, they have an activation date for this batch processing of applications. As of the moment, DMs being notified are for Late May and June AORs.

Our time will come I'm very optimistic about this coming December.

Yes I have seen this on rejection thread. There has been rejection after decision made also. But both of these cases are very very rare .....I came across one example from both of these cases

A friend of mine who is PNP in Canada, got a request to submit PCC after the RPRF request, about a month after..
I don't know if this is how they generally do things, but it is strange that they are sending RPRF and then doing background check after..

I agree with this. Why would they request for the RPRF in the first place. Well obviously they are just humans who also have lapses
