Has anyone received PPR recently? What type of email address did it come from? A friend of mine just received the PPR email and the email came from a CIC staff email address, showing the person's first and last name. .... for example "jon.snow@cic.gc.ca" .... I am not sure if this is legit, I thought it would come from a generic CIC email

Has anyone seen the same?

Had sent my passport to New Delhi through VFS on Aug 16th and have received it back with COPR on Aug 28th.

I got ppr on 4th august, submitted pp on 6th, cic account status still unchanged, no sign of my passport yet, i am from bangldesh,
The timelines will can vary at times depending on country. Since you have got PPR, I believe everything is on track. Hope for the best....:)

@johnsyk Have you submitted your passport? I agree that NDVO is slower than London. Thought they were picking up pace. But London is consistently issuing PPR's.

@infinix @hope_faith @Sulay8961 Any update on your application?
No update yet Mate. I am still waiting for London to work on my file. My due date was 28/08/2017 which was a bank holiday but I hope something comes up this week. I will let you know once I get an update.

Probably means you are actually in IP2 and they are doing security checks. Once thats done and a visa officer reviews your file and does final approval, then you will get your ppr.
Any idea how much time it will take

Sadly NDVO is quite slow. People say London is slow but I think New Delhi sadly is even slower coz there is a PPR most days from London. Have not seen a PPR from New Delhi in a while!

Some of my other friends with June and July AOR, received PPR's yesterday, quiet a few of them actually, no sign of PPR for May applicants.

Oh I wish, I would've delayed the application by couple of days, instead of 30th May, it could've been 1st June....

Still same status, 18 days of NA2 RPRF upfront.

Last agent that I spoke with, said your official timeline ends on November 10, 6 months from the day when you received the ITA until then there is nothing to worry about.

Finally, I got my PPR email after 145 days. I have a question guys. In my PPR email, I was asked to send ALL passports (a family of 3) to Singapore VO. However, my daughter and I are from a visa exempt country (but my wife is not). Seniors have told me that only a copy of the biopage is needed. Does anyone know if it's necessary for me to send all passports? Thanks guys.

Hi. Would really appreciate help from you guys here.
I got my AOR on 20 Apr 17 and paid the fee upfront. On June 24 I was asked to submit an additional document: Police Certificate from Sudan (since I was in the Military and went on a UN mission to Sudan). I submitted that document on 31 July and to this date there has been no update regarding my profile. This is how it reads:

Application Status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

My background check hasn't even started yet. Its been over 125 days since my AOR and it seems to me as if my application is forgotten or something. I've tried contacting various offices and called the CIC number as well. I don't even know which office has my file and the number plays an automated message. Can someone please help me and guide me on this?
Thanks in advance

So I found out that my application is being processed in the London Office and that my application is in a queue awaiting review by an officer. Can anyone tell me what this means and how much more time it will take me?

That is the standard response they give, "in a queue awaiting review" I was told the same thing in response to my email enquiry almost two weeks ago, my application is also in London, my timeline is below.

The link below is for the thread for applicants in London office:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-im...e-applicants-lets-connect-here.406986/page-86

You may find some insight in posts there, I don't think you need to be overly worried, you'll find people with even earlier AORs there. Based on recent trends, the belief is that London tends to finalise a large number of their cases in an average of 5mths from AOR, of course no one can say for sure. I read a post in that thread today of someone who got their PPR today after 205 days.
