@vishalphonsa, Can see many IP2 on 27-July getting their PPRs today. Hope you too get the same soon. Are you having access to your account, maybe the update has already come?? Did a person named "Marie" confirm on your Application Approval, is it true that whenever she replies it means the Application is through and only the PPR mail is pending?? Thank you.
Hey Karen,

Thanks for your concern dear. In the past 5 hours I've checked all email folders and CIC account 5 times, LOL!!,but there's nothing yet. Like you know I got an approved email on 27th July and no PPR yet. But I'm hopeful, after all there are folks here for whom it took a long time for the PPR email. How about you? Any good PPR news for you?

@techLover congrats its finally done!! Geezz what a ride! @sam_15 I have no such wordings on my letter! In what context does it say and where?

I just an apologetic e-mail from CIC.

"Good day,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Rest assured that our priority is to answer your needs.

If your enquiry has yet to be answered via other channels such as our phone agents, paid representatives, community centres, etc., please write back to us using the IRCC Web form.
We thank you for your understanding and patience as we seek to provide existing and future Canadians with the best client service.
Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

So there it is, point proven. All the rude or irrespective agents are probably violating their employment contract @johnsyk
This is amazing. So escalation works :)

Maybe this is a region specific wordling, a frnd of mine from bd got same words in her ppr as well. It is written in the middle of email body . The specific words are "Note: This letter is not a guarantee that a visa will be issued to you."

I see only this: "There is no guarantee a future application will be successful." But this is in a context if I dont send my documents in 30 days and then I would have to apply again from the start! Also depends on the country of residence and specific instructions are given to every applicant. For example, I dont have to send my Passport, only a copy of it. Every letter is different.

Nice! I am planning to land in Toronto as well. As for ticket, I have already booked mine with British Airways for the month of October. If you want to get a good deal, you might want to check out Yatra.com post mid-night until 6AM. They have this scheme going on wherein you could get flat 10% off on any international flight booking priced over Rs. 30000.

As for accommodation, I am looking at a place through AirBNB on temporary basis. Could you suggest which area in Toronto would be worth staying in? Also, do you reckon I should be able to finalize any house-share deal in 4-5 days' time?

Indeed, we shall all get together for an awesome party to celebrate our success :)
Thanks for Yatra tip... IMO you should extend your Airbnb to at least 10-15 days, may be more.. Cause
1) Most of the house/condo owners will want an SSN or proof of employment.
2) You will need to figure out your home-work commute to work situation. Keep in mind that the winters are brutal here.
3) You need to factor school area if you have kids.
4) You don't want to outsource you house hunting.

Stay close to your office if you can, you may not be able to save lot of money but it will take care of lot of variables for first 12 months in a foreign land. Also keep in mind that usually we have to sign an 12 month lease agreement, so getting it right is important..

What you are suggesting is not practical, I am sure your intend is good but most of the time it doesn't work like that. For any decent rental, they require you to show proof of employment, SSN etc. You can not get all of these sorted out on day zero... even if you are having a job before landing.
Actually many of my friends have done this successfully, hence they are the ones that suggested it to me, its all about right links, of course anyone without links there cannot do it. Many many people know someone from around here and pull strings around.

Can anyone who got ppr recently plz share your experience regarding the fact its written in bold in my ppr that "this does not guarantee visa issuance" ?? @KiranK @gurik @In_Need_Of_Silver_Lining @Wolverine17 @astralsource
In my opinion, rejections are almost next to none after you have received your PPR letter. If I understand the quoted sentence correctly, there is still a probability that your local visa office might carry out some verification before issuing VISA and COPR to you. Hence, you need to ensure that all the details furnished by you could be verified smoothly, especially your employment details.

I may be wrong in interpreting the sentence. Hence, I would let other senior members comment on it.
