FSW or CEC which is better?

I qualified under both, - FSW and CEC, but got invitation under FSW. There must be some directions there that CIC is following under which category to grant us ITA. If you reject the ITA under FSW this time, how do you know that the next ITA you receive will not be under the same FSW again?

If you are qualified for FSW & CEC you will receive a FSW invite. You need to select "No" when it asks if you have a valid job offer to only qualify for CEC. Changing your amount of funds to $0 or under $11,931 will not make you ineligible for the FSW program. I would consider this a glitch in the system that still hasn't been fixed by CIC.

CEC doesn't have POF requirements and seems to update more accurately in ECAS & MyCIC. I qualified for both but declined my initial FSW ITA for a CEC ITA.

I know this thread is old but I found something that might help someone in the future. Please read the link.
Can I be eligible for more than one program under Express Entry?
Yes. Depending on the information in your profile, you may be eligible for more than one program through Express Entry.

In that case, you will be invited to apply for one program based on this order:

• Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
• Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), then
• Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

For example:

• If you met the criteria for all three programs, the system would send you an invitation to apply for the CEC.
• If you met the criteria for CEC and FSWP, you would also get an invitation to apply under the CEC.
• If you met the criteria for FSWP and FSTP, you would get an invitation to apply under FSWP.

You can’t choose which program you are invited to apply for. The system will sort profiles based on the information you enter.

If you decline the invitation, the system will not re-invite you under the next program. You will go back in the pool, and if we invite you again, the same order will apply.
