Hi Everyone and @legalfalcon ,

I have a query. I recently had to move from BC to Ontario because of a job offer. The move was on a very short notice so I went with whatever kind of rented place I could get. The place I am staying at right now is a commercial address and I have already submitted my address change request on my PR application. Can this cause any issues with my processing? Any information will be much appreciated.

Usually, IRCC does not send PR cards to commercial addresses.

Apart from this, there is no concern. You can update your address to a residential one, which can be your address or a family / relatives.

Dear friends. Please let me have your opinion about my problem.
I ap a few-Inland applicant, AOR Nov. 2020.
My work permit expired in November and I applied for BOWP in October which is still in processing. I need to go back my country urgently. My depends are here (working and studying)
If I leave Canada and returned after a month with my visitor visa, I would have any problem or not?
I appreciate your help. Thanks

My MP told me, and I've also read online on the government website, that if you have an urgent trip ahead of you due to work or sickness that requires you to leave Canada, you may qualify for an expedited/urgent processing of your application.

I'm not sure if there will be an issue with your visitor visa. But whatever you choose to do I think it may be worth it to write a letter and document why you have to make this urgent trip and request an expedited/urgent processing of your PR application.

is there a way to contact montreal VO via any email address ?

how long are they taking to process BOWP?
As per their website "123" days.
But I filed mine on 11th sep 2020, so it has been 135 days, but I have not received a decision.

*At the time of applying, the website was showing that it will take 87 days to process."

All their estimated processing time lines are bull shit. God knows how they pickup applications. May be they 2 agents play rock, paper scissor and decide which applications get processed first.

what is your VO ? and what is the status of your eligibility, criminality, security etc as per your last GCMS ?
MY VO was in Montreal, last week i made a call and was told that my VO is in Edmonton, Agent told me that eligibility is not started and all others are in process, Medical expired, and no update. Last Friday I got Ghostupdate I guess it was just a glitch as nothing is changed after that. AOR 5th Dec, 2020 inland with inland dependent

Are you sure about that? Mine is like this at least since Jun 30, 2021, when I took a screenshot for record. And I believe it was always like that.

But sure, any GU is a good sign.
