How long before expiring work permit should we apply for bridging work permit?

My work permit expires in October this year. I feel it's too soon to apply for a bridging work permit, right?

I've applied in October. It hasn't moved, not even a single bit. If you're asking about August or September, I guess I have more hopes of my PR been approved than my BOWP.

I guess it's too soon. So maybe May or June? It is totally up to you.

Guys, this might not be related to this thread, but by any chance, does anyone know (with certainty) if you can become incorporated/self employed while on open work permit?

I am thinking of incorporating myself to get a contract job (as second job) but not sure whether I can do that when I'm not PR yet.
Hi!
You can be self-employed all over Canada and incorporate your business in Ontario (not sure about other provinces). You cannot incorporate federally. But if you're planning to do it as a sidekick, being self-employed will be a lot less costly. You don't even have to get an HST number until you earn 30K (yearly) as a self-employed. As a self-employed, if you will use a business name that is different than your name, you just need to register your name for $60, and that's it. If you operate under your name, you don't need to spend anything. Setting up a provincial corporation in Ontario should cost around $350 if you do it yourself, plus there are accounting-related costs. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, I'm located in BC.

The reason for all this is that if I accept the contract offer as my second job, I will need to declare if I have more than one employer or payer at the same time in TD1 forms. And then, the company will find out that I'm still keeping my first job, and I don't want this.

So I thought if I get incorporated, I won't need to declare having two employers anymore because the contract company won't deduct any tax etc. from my salary and declaring my tax will be my sole responsibility at the end of the year.

I'm not sure yet if my understanding of the situation is correct or not, but that's why I am thinking about registering an incorporation. Not sure if the situation would be the same for self-employed.

Hello everyone,

In future if they again open TR to PR pathway, is it possible to apply under that without withdrawing FSW application?

Kindly let me know. Thank you
My friend applied in TR2PR and got PR in 2 months. He had applied for CEC before that, which was still pending.

Dear friends. Please let me have your opinion about my problem.
I ap a few-Inland applicant, AOR Nov. 2020.
My work permit expired in November and I applied for BOWP in October which is still in processing. I need to go back my country urgently. My depends are here (working and studying)
If I leave Canada and returned after a month with my visitor visa, I would have any problem or not?
I appreciate your help. Thanks

Main applicant + 2 dependents
1. AOR: Aug 3, 2020
2. Medicals updated: Oct 29, 2021
2. ADR received: Nov 10, 2021
3. ADR answered: Nov 15, 2021
4. Followed up with web form: Nov 16, 2021
5. Confirmation of docs reception: Nov 18, 2021
6. Dec 29, 2021 - Portal invitation (sent to my corporate legal advisor for some reasons). She forwarded it to me on Jan 3rd.
7. Info Submitted on IRCC PR Portal: Jan 5, 2022
8. eCOPR: Jan 17, 2022

VO was Ottawa according to the last ATIP details I received in March 2021. It might have changes since then though.
They sent the portal invitation to someone who is not you???? I don't understand. Was the person your representative?

Hi guys,
My FSW application:
AOR: December 15, 2020
ADR: January 19, 2021
We successfully received your document: January 10, 2022
My medical expired in December 2021, my partner's medical will expire in February 2022.

I am eligible for CEC and also is my partner.
In your opinion, which option is better given the huge delays:
1- Wait until I receive the PR?
2- Withdraw my FSW application and apply again for CEC under my name?
3- Keep the FSW application and apply for CEC under my partner's name?

Thanks in advance...
