VO: Ottawa, AOR: August 2020.. No ghost updates yet! I hope what you guys got today is legit.. Looks like Montreal visa office is processing FSW inlands those days! Also I see CEC candidates From August 2020 AOR getting approved. I hope it's our turn soon!
I was anxiously waiting for October since August. I don't know, so many things happened in August and September, that I basically gave up on any hope for those months: elections, crisis in Afghanistan, 4th wave, kids back to school, travel restrictions that were still in place, ...

My number one song for September was Green Day - Wake me up when September ends lol

Anyway, I hope these updates are legit as well, and things start getting back on track. I have a lot of hope for the weeks to come, even though I did not get any update.

Also, my MP is back to the office today, I hope he can manage to help up, as I pointed out the problem with all FSW-Inland applicants, comparing to new CEC applicants.

Adding possible reasons for delays in October:-
1. new cabinet ministers with new mandates,
2. IRCC prioritizing Afghan refugees (40K afghans are to be accepted as opposed to 20K declared previously (https://www.thecanadanow.com/we-will-offer-a-new-home-for-afghan-refugees-canadas-immigration-minister-0443/))
3. prioritizing leftover CEC applicants from 2020
.
.
100. IRCC doesn't like the colour of your eyes etc.

March 2020 AOR - apologies if I am being too cautious about being hopeful.

hi guys. I applied for PR under FSW as an outland applicant last august, but have moved to canada last month for further studies.

i’ve written 2 separate webforms informing them of a change of my contact details, each 15 days apart, with the last one sent on 27 august, but have not heard back from them, not even an acknowledgement reply.

is that what’s supposed to happen? they’re not gonna reply you, telling you that they’ve notified your change of address?

i know that some have said that it doesnt matter because it wont reclassify my applicant as inland, but i’d still want them to know that i’ve got a change in address and to actually acknowledge it, instead of keeping me in the dark
Same here :( FSW - Outland at time of application but moved to CAN in May to complete studies. Graduated in June, and currently working on PGWP, no word from IRCC in regards to PR application

Seriously so true. I have really lost hope they would open our files any time soon. Especially after reading on that 2nd point of yours.

Looks like I have a ghost update today. VO Ottawa, AOR Feb 2020. Fingers crossed something comes of this!
When I click on my application now I no longer see the usual list of Eligibility, Medicals passed, etc.

sorry to kill your excitement but seems like everyone got this update due to their system maintanance. I have same update for both my PR application and work permit application.

I received an email 7 hours ago stating

"We're still working on your application.
You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.
We send messages to your account if we need something from you...."

Did you all get it as it seems to be an automated email?

I'm known for being pessimistic on the forum but feeling really optimistic about FSW-Inland processing right now

Yes. That’s an auto-email triggered by the website maintenance that happened tonight.

This is just to be ignored.
