I myself have a lawyer representation. So the lawyer got the letter on the 18th of April and called me. But I affirm what has been previously said that the date stated on the letter is the accountable one no matter when you received the letter!

Dear All, spcially hiema and DR Romello,
thank you very much for your swift resposne, second i wonder if any body have answers to the following

they say i have to call them if we did not hear from them in 6 months, any body doe that? shall we? what do you guys expect if we do so?

also since some new system's limit caps are reached, do you think that this may affect applications of older systems?

thanks guys

Hi Mokka ... same thing happened with me ... and i sent them an inquiry after 9 months ... the reply was very depresing .." dont expect to hear from us before 24 months ....."
i dont see it useful ... my opinion ...

good day

guys,
thanks for all your reponses, i did some surfing in CIC site and found another depresssing piece of statistics,
/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#africa

this link shows that officially cairo officeis te slowest in the globe, it is now official >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

with 19 months waiting time Cairo office beats every body, GO EGYPT GO :'(
we finally outscored the americans in something as Buffalo Offcie comes next to us.

HI Mokka
Well, you know the processing time at Cairo visa office has been like that since few months ago, only they were not announcing realistic statistics on the CIC website.
In my own opinion, I think this is the first time they declare the real situation for those who have applied after February of 2008.
Finally, I believe that 19 months are still not that bad, we can still use some time to get ourselves prepared in different aspects.

Good luck and regards,

Well I'm myself in the same boat, in their letter they asked me to inquire about my case if I haven't heard from them within 6 months.
Six months had passed but, I'm afraid to contact them because I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a depressing response and they may extend the waiting time to 36 month rather than 24.
However I'm going to send the inquire with my fingers crossed hoping for the best.

HI friends,
I had my 1st AOR last month and am gathering my docs but i need to how did u pay to the cairo visa office as i dont have an attorney. was it by cash or through bank draft or what? was the paying was to CIO and the receiver general for canada again or was it by cash deposite at the embassy directly?
please i need to know.
also, did u pay the RPRF fees or not?

Dear Heith
I do not recall that there are any payments associated with this stage, you only gather documents and send to the Embassy, PR fees comes after approvals.
can you add your time schedule so we can trace you as well.

I sent my file to CIO on the first of june 2010.
My cheque was encashed on 28 august 2010
1st AOR received on 14 OCT 2010.
NOC 3111.
Finished IELTS and about to submit my docs to cairo VO.

I read about the payment methods in this the cairo ooffice website . It says Principal Applicant: $550 (processing fee). will I pay them through citibank account as written in the website or can be payed in cash to the embassy?
will it be better if i pay the $490 of (Right of Permanent Resident Fee – RPRF) with the processing fees? it is said that this makes the processing faster as it will not cause delay in the future.

agains heith,
i do not think that there are payments assocaited with your next step.
the 550 should be already aid to CIO. as you mentioed.
next payment will be upon approval not b4
thanks and good luck

Really I feel that all Cairo VO applicants have hard luck ,because we belong to the most laziest visa office in the world. But we dont have to be silent for 24 months and other applicants to other visa offices like London they can reach canada and live more than one year over there ??? ???.
So I sugget to send complaint letter to CIC about this delaying without any logic justifications.

Alshami

Thanks Mokka for the answers.

Do I have to certifie the translated documents or they accept the translation from the certified translation office as certified documents?
