in my opinion...they probably take it on a first come first serve basis...otherwise di ma-process yung mga borderline points. just my idea.
thanks rich, sounds logical. So basically, if you pass the 67 mark you're set. It does not really matter if you reach 75 since it is a first come first server basis...? ::)

yes jig...that is my assumption. although we do not know what happens internally when it gets into the processing stage. they might have some groupings done on the set of applications to stream line their process....we can only guess on that.

Just to clarify...

the confirmation you mention below is coming from your consultant right?
i have my doubts on the confirmation as it seems to long already if they used the drop box. too bad there's no document that could serve as proof that the drop happened. its only through the AOR that you can confirm this.

Yup. I know, that's why i keep looking at others timeline and compare theirs against mine.

Thanks Rich!

Hi Catherine1967!

Based on my wife's exam, the hardest part is the speaking and listening. Are you attending review classes? Kaya naman ang 14 points. May mga nakausap nga kami na 16 points ang kailangan sa IELTS pero nagawa pa rin.

For me it was the writing that posted a challenge...I tend to stray away from what is asked of the topic hence I loose focus on the text...and before I knew it ...my time was up :( Looking back, I would have done it differently. Focus on the main points. Make sure you have a mental outline of what you are going to write and stick to that....oh...and make sure the points to outlined are directly answering the question asked / item asked to expound on.

don't commit the same mistake i did :)

I guess case to case basis pa rin. In any case, always come prepared and like what rich said, always stays focus. English is our second language and I think you will do well.

Depende sa reason for denial. Kung relating sa violation of law/regulation, misrepresentation, inconsitencies or anything serious eh for sure apektado application mo. I know of someone who got denied cause they have misrepresentation sa working VISA sa isang country (date of birth different from NSO and Passport) kaya sya nadeny din sa CEM.

HTH and God Bless

Hey catherine1967, welcome to the thread! kayang kaya mo IELTS! in my case, I had to cram. 1 Month lang ang pag aral ko and I only had 1 CD (cambridge 1-6 or 7 books in PDF / audio nga lang) and 2-3 hours a day (kasama 1 hr break hehehehe). Sinamahan ko ng dasal and I got an over all band 7 (L8.5 R6.5 W7 S7)!! what more ikaw ;) By the way in speaking, the person who interviewed me was a filipina. It was just like a typical conversation BUT the thing is she wanted me to ellaborate the topic we were discussing which was "Does the Gov do anything in promoting good health?". The thing that struck me is that she keeps on saying 'and..?' over and over. (whoa! can we change topic?) In other posts, they said that what they are looking for is the correct pronunciation of words, phrasing of the sentence and how you deliver it.

Hope my 2 cents help. God Bless!
