Dear Friends,

I have received MR, PCC, RPRF & Additional Doc request few days back. I was originally SGVO August applicant and was almost giving up hope. But they trasferred my file to Manilla and got this sweet news finally. I really need some your expert guidance & suggestions on the following issues:

1. In additional docs, they requested Personal History and Addresses details from AUG2014 to present (They have provided me a Personal Address History form for this). I am doing the same job in same position since then, so Do I need to submit any updated work experience letter with this as supporting document??
2. They also asked for, Details of activities during period of unemployment from SEP2008 to JUL2009 (How do I provide them this information? In the same Personal Adress History form or some other way?)
3. Referring to Number 2, I was unemployed and was looking for Job, did nothing else. So should I write "Job Search/Seeking" as my activity? Do I have to provide any supporting documents for that?
4. RPRF Fees - a.Is it ok If I do bank draft (Couldnt manage Credit card). b.Is it CAN 490 for single applicant? c.Since its Manilla VO, what will be the Beneficiary name for a bank draft?
5. They have given a courier address for sending original PCC. Should I send the original Bank Draft with with the PCC at the same address?
6. I have understood that only original documents i.e. PCC & bank draft needs to be sent via courier like DHL/FedEx. Other documents like additional docs whice have no originals should be sent via email. Am I correct??

This forum has been the source of all the support and help from the begining of my application. I wish everyone good news and good luck. Thank you very much :) :).

I have personally handled this situation. Here is the answer for first 3 points:

1. In additional docs, they requested Personal History and Addresses details from AUG2014 to present (They have provided me a Personal Address History form for this). I am doing the same job in same position since then, so Do I need to submit any updated work experience letter with this as supporting document??

<BM> You have got this request as you have most certainly left gaps in providing details on your Personal History and Address details. Basically, the dates did not match for CIC. Just fill out the Personal History form. There may not be enough space to fill so you can use an Addendum. Create pages with tables exactly like in the form on a word doc and fill out details. In the form, mention " Please refer to the addendum A or B etc" Do not provide any additional documents as VO has not asked for them.

2. They also asked for, Details of activities during period of unemployment from SEP2008 to JUL2009 (How do I provide them this information? In the same Personal Adress History form or some other way?)

<BM> So specifically the gap is during that period. You need to mention Unemployed start and end date in the Personal History form. Then in the address form, write if you were AT HOME in XXXXX CITY and Address XXXXXX. Again ensure when someone tries to match the dates he should be able to see the continuity. Go as granular as you can.

3. Referring to Number 2, I was unemployed and was looking for Job, did nothing else. So should I write "Job Search/Seeking" as my activity? Do I have to provide any supporting documents for that?

<BM> Refer to answer for point 2. Yeah you can say Job Search/ Unemployed as activity and address at HOME... No need to provide document for that.

Made the appointment yesterday at Fullerton Healthcare @ Drs Horne & Chin at 3pm today, arrived there at 2.30pm for registration.

There was few people queueing for immigration medical examination.

All tests were conducted within half hour, but we were informed to do the X-ray at Paragon which opposite the Nee Ann City, which took us another 30 mins.

The result will be uploaded to VO within 3 to 5 days.

My Journey in Canada.. to inspire and assist..

Hello Friends,
My name is Nitin. Just like very body else, I also dreamt to come and start my life in Canada. I started preparing my application in May 2014 and was able to send it to CIC in August 2014. I used no consultants, as my only consultant and support was this forum.

I have no words for the kind of help and support all forumites have provided. I am sharing my journey and my insights on this forum to express how thankful I am and also to return the favour and contribute to anyone who may need assistance in searching a job or getting settled in Canada.

I am now to a certain extent settled with my family here, have a job (Full time) with Scotiabank.. I have also started counseling some newcomers for my settlement agency who want guidance in finding a job.

I landed in August 2015. Then started another journey, the journey to start a new life, find a home, find a job, create a social circle.. etc.. etc..First priorities were to get SIN, open a Bank account(coincidentally I applied for Scotia Start Right account from India itself and later got a job here ), get my Driver’s license , find a place to stay and so on.

I had no immediate or close family in Canada, so got registered with the nearest settlement agency in Brampton. They provide a workshop for newcomers and help you understand the job market, prepare a Canadian style resume and researching your job. But the real test comes after the workshop. I started applying for multiple jobs, tried CareerEdge for internship programs, attending mentoring events, got my business cards printed to share at meetup events, prepared job search strategy, researched linkedin. All these efforts still did not land me in a job.

I then started networking on Linkedin.. and it helped.. I will be happy to share my inputs in case anyone wants.. You never know what clicks, so I suggest we try every bit.. because failure is not an option. Feel free to connect with me. Just pm me for any query that you may have.

Thank you again for helping me.

All the Best…

Nitin

Thanks a lot buddy. Now need some one to guide me through the rest of the points. :)

The process is very easy. I had applied 7 months before.

GETTING BORED, LOOSING HOPE.

Hi All,

As previously mentioned, I have got my MR and PCC request yesterday i.e 16th December. But the issue is that I am not in Singapore till 3rd Jan. I am booking my appointment for Medical on 4th Jan which I suppose should not be an issue since its within 30 days of stipulated time.

However, Police clearance Cert. from Singapore Police Force might take some time to come through which I 10 working days even if I drop by to the SPF HQ at Outram Park on 4th Jan itself . This means that I wont be able to send all the documents within 30 days.

I need suggestions from friends at this forum who have gone through the process. Does SPF clearance comes in early, or should I ask Visa Office for extension?
