HS Russell seems to have just gotten PPR. Everyone please check your mails. :-* :-* :-*

Hi, I’m an August'14 applicant (AOR: 15-Jan-15), my passport was about to expire so I renewed it and got a new passport! Should I inform the VO? Should I submit the scan copy through CSE?

checked three times but ....................alas

Yes, you should submit new passport copy to Visa Office through CSE. I would suggest you send physical copy also to Visa Office by post clearly mentioning your UID or Application Number.

Totally wrong information -

Here is a quote from VO email for PP submission -

How to submit your passports

Applicants who reside in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, or Viet Nam may send their passports to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore through the secure service offered by the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC). The service includes two-way secure shipping and tracking. A Service Charge must be paid for each applicant to cover handling and courier costs. Once processing has been completed, passports will be returned to the CVAC for collection by applicants.

Applicants residing in countries which are not currently serviced by a Canada Visa Application Centre may send passports directly to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore and enclose courier account information for passport return.

PLEASE NOTE: Passports may not be submitted in person to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

Residents of BANGLADESH

Submit passports to the Canada Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, Chittagong, or Sylhet

There is visa center office in Australia to submit passport for Canada visa -

http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/australia
http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/australia/contact_us.html

VFS Global Australia could send the passport to SGVO to get stamp and other related papers for immigration and return back to you. You could also check your passport movement status by using their tracking system.

Further more you can contact VFS global for your further assistance.

Hope it will help you...

Dear All,
Need advice. At the end of January,2015 my MR, RPRF and updated PCC requests came. Since I had to provide USA PCC for which processing time is around 14 weeks, I raised CSE in February:
- asked for extension for USA PCC showing screenshots of average processing time from FBI website and proof that my fingerprints were received on Feb 17
- Also asked if I could pay using online payment portal.

I got a reply from SGVO in email the next day telling me that it was alright to pay with online payment. There was no reply regarding time extension. But, I guess I assumed that they were okay with it. In the meantime, I sent in all other documents like MR, native country PCC, Fee receipt etc.

On May 6, I get another email informing me that I still have not sent in USA PCC and that I don't send it by 30 days from May 6 then application to be refused. As you can understand, it made me very worried especially I don't know how they missed out on my request before. I know many people got extension for USA PCC so this was very frustrating. I immediately replied by email as well as raised another CSE explaining the situation again and giving same proofs as before. I asked them to grant extension and acknowledge my request. I am a little worried because I still have not received any reply. Is there any other way I can try? Have any of you faced this before? Please share.

Have you received passport request?

Don't worry Leha2014, you have done your task. It is not that easy to reject the file on this basis, as in future you can prove that you asked for extension.
I would suggest that in addition of that you send this extension appeal by written through post (Keep copy to your record, with postal receipt for future and photos taken of courier envelope etc.).

Try to clearly mention in application letter to SGVO that you have already complied by sending USA PCC request to FBI and copy of application receipt etc is enclosed in the envelope (proof that you have applied).
At the last you can also mention about previous communication but should not be high focus. More focus should be on first point and ask for extension. Because we dont want to realize them that they have done mistake but taking alternative approach of being polite and talking to the point of extension again.

Hope it will help you.

Write a cover letter explaining the situation and necessary docs to prove it that you actually submitted the finger print, sign it and send them
by post. Also asked for time extension again. Since you got 60 days and it takes 14 weeks from January I think your still in the time frame.

Anyone similar to my time line and NOC? I haven't got any MR yet, have you?

Thanks for the advice. Yes, at first I sort of wanted to jump and let them know its their mistake, but thankfully I realized that I should be polite :) So my tone was polite. Ok I will send another notification my mail too.
