3 Hours ago i received this email from SGVO regarding Police Certificate from Canada. Their reply is self contradictory though they said they will demand it on later stage of application.

From: SPOREIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

You are only required to provide police certificates for each country you had resided for more than six months OTHER THAN CANADA. Police certifcates from Canada will be requested later after receipt of your complete application.

We hope this information will be of assistance.

Below is the exact words from the letter sent from LVO asking for passports. It is not mandatory to have the passports valid for 1 year. Read point # 5.
Singapore visa office might be different. I am not sure. Someone who got PPR recently from SGVO can confirm this.

3. Passport Specifications
If any of the passports submitted do not meet the following specifications, all passports will be returned to you without visas. This delay will shorten the amount of time that you will have to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.
1. All names and dates of birth must be printed in each passport in English or French.
2. The given name (first name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the bio-data page of each passport. The surname (last name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Surname line of the bio-data page of each passport. They should match your Updated Information Chart.
3. Your spouse must have their own passport. Your accompanying children should also each have their own passports.
4. Each passport must have at least two empty pages.
5. For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations.
6. All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the bio-data page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages. Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, special or other similar types of passports are NOT acceptable.

Thanks for sharing the info... ;D

It has been 40 days since I applied for GCMS notes. Still no news. ::)

Dear Seniors,

When I was applied My NOC was 2133 (Electrical and Electronic Engineer) but recently I have changed my team within same organization with different role and responsibilities. By this time I got my 2nd line updated.

Police certificate is not required for Canada. It will be required later. - It is quite a complicate message. :-\ :-\
