Your application will not be returned.
Don't worry about that.
I did the same for one of the companies
I have worked for because I could not
provide ref letter because they closed down
in 2010.
Today,I had my PER and waiting patiently for
my MR.
Good luck
.

In Operational Bulletin 6C, it states the following for counting work experience:

To be eligible for points, the applicant's work experience must:
(1) have occurred during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of application;
(2) have been acquired in occupations listed at Skill Type 0 (Managerial occupations), Skill
Level A (Professional occupations) or B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of NOC
2011;
(3) not be in an occupation that has been designated by the Minister as a restricted
occupation; and
(4) have been full-time paid work (or the equivalent in paid part- time work).

Therefore, after fulfilling the eligibility for processing requirement and minimum work experience requirements (i.e., one-year continuous full-time experience in one of those 50 occupations in the NOC Category), I believe you should be able to gain points from other work experiences that are shorter than one year. At least, this was the rule two years ago.

Therefore, I posted the question of why in Schedule 3 (Work Experience) page 3, the form does not have an option of you listing work experience that is less than one year. Does anyone know?

Thanks for your response, but yes, there doesn't seem a way where we can claim points for a workEx of less than a year. If anyone wants to add something from their experience, will appreciate that.

Nice Post...Informative for new applicants

As long as you do not absolutely need points for work experience for the entire period of 4 years to qualify - you should be fine.

If you do need to claim points for the 1 year for which you presented CIC with a self-declaration, then I would strongly suggest you send at-least a reference letter on an A4 from any of your Supervisors/Colleagues as an additional document.

This is assuming you have already sent supporting documents such as Employment Contract, Payslips, Appraisal Letter for that 1 year of work exp.

Good luck!

Yes i have sent offer letter, releaving letters and form16 of the company.

In my ref letter, they have mentioned as below:

"The employment letter from xxx company does not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties.

Therefore, I am not not satisfied there is sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupations as described of the NOC 0112"

Please guide and send me format (experience letter - wordings) if possible.

Regards,
MACK

Hey I'd appreciate your help.
In my birth certificate they put Mr. Before my full name would it a problem?
Also, in marriage certificate they put Dr. (As I am a doctor by profession) would it be any problem?
Do I need to submit any extra explanation or notary for these?

Many thanks

Look at the law, not just the instructions in application package. Based on the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

80. (1) Points shall be awarded, up to a maximum of 15 points, to a skilled worker for full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, within the 10 years before the date on which their application is made, as follows:

(a) 9 points for one year of work experience;

(b) 11 points for two to three years of work experience;

(c) 13 points for four to five years of work experience; and

(d) 15 points for six or more years of work experience.

Marginal note:Listed occupation

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), points are awarded for work experience in occupations, other than a restricted occupation, that are listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is, for eligibility for processing and minimum work experience requirement:
One year of continuous full-time work experience (or equivalent part-time)

For claiming points, the rule is different:
experience from more than one occupations is fine. The law never says that a work experience needs to be at least one-year of continuous full-time work experience to claim points.

I have attached the page on the Regulation for your reference:
