Heres my take on 2171...my brother in laws app reached 10th of Oct...however I dont think they really update the high demand NOC s via completeness check. The reason I feel that way is it would be impossible for them to process 447 apps just for 2171 in such a short period. What I do think is happening is that they may do completeness check till about 700 and if they see that they still have another 500 apps for 2171, they will just cap the NOC. There is no chance that they will not get 300 valid apps from 500 yet to be opened. That is the reason that they keep charging long after cap is complete...this gives me hope and I hope this is true...

However by looking at the trend more likely is July and Aug applicant are lucky to get in cap for 2173 and 2171. Sept onwards have very thin chance... Still hopeful though....

Highly unlikely that september applicants wil be charged for these two categories ..better gear up for EE and hopeand pray that they return the applications fast so that the original IELTS and WES letters can be retrieved!!!! yes this is a bit shocking as I expected September (including that of mine) applications to got through for noc 2171..alas its all fate

For Aug applicants under 2173 NOC...its all "if and but" game. For some reason, I feel...charging will start soon for 2173 for all pending Aug applicants..

Hi,

I have several questions about the application, and I would appreciate your help.
I have applied under NOC 2171, my application reached CIC on the 18th November. I know that it is highly unlikely that I make it in the cap, so I am thinking on alternatives.
I have the following job history:
Company A: 4 years experience in NOC 2171
Company B: 2 years 9 months experience part-time (28 hours a week), my job role perfectly covers both NOC 2171 and 2172 (IT business and data analyst).
I submitted my application under NOC 2171, but my question is: could I use my current role (company B) to apply under 2172 as well? Would there be a confusion if the same job appears as 2171 on one application and 2172 on the other?
Also, I sent in a few original documents on my first application, so I only have copies. If I submit a second application before I hear from CIC on the first one, can I say that my original documents are with CIC, so I can only submit copies at this stage, and send the originals if/when my first application is returned?
Alternatively, I might just wait for EE in January 2015. Which would you recommend?
Another question: my home country gave me a police certificate and they say it is valid for 3 months. Would I need to reapply for a new certificate every 3 months until my application is approved by CIC, or would they consider that valid for 1 year from the created date instead of 3 months?

Have any DD charges happened for applications of August 10th- Aug 13?

my NOC is 2172. I m waiting for my CES results for more than 3 months now. expecting it in a week or two. if I dispatch my docs to CIC by 12 dec, will I still have a chance?

have my doubts with regard to September appfor noc 2171.if u look at 2173 last charged date is 12th november for 13th Aug appliant. After the cap was reported no applicant after 13th Aug had been charged . If u go by that logic last charge for 2171 was for 28th August applicant done 2 days back.and I don't think there would be any charging done for applications after 28th Aug. So I think the last locit is ked in application in the cap for 2171 is Aug 28th.like it is the 13th of Aug for 2173

Dear all,

My wife had her passport much before our marriage with her father's name as her surname. She has not yet updated her surname on her passport to replace her father's name with my name, which is her new surname.

But, I applied for my passport after our marriage and I mentioned my wife's name on my passport with her new surname.

Thus my wife's surname on our passports are different. Is it okay to apply for the FSWP without updating my wife's passport with her new surname?

hi puna, agree I sound pessimistic and would be the happiest person if September apps are included . However I was ononly going by the facts reflected by spreadsheet
2173 - no charging after cap was reporated
1112-no charging after cap was reported
only 2174 charging continued even after the cap was announced . ...
hence my worry ..but we can only analyse and speculate and being pessimistic is way better thathan hoping and getting disappointed later .
The scenario with 2173 was also same.. 300 apps in few days and now see, no charging has happened after perhaps 13th of Aug apps..
having said that really hoping and praying for the best...
