Guys, what are chances that my application gets through, given that my application reach date is 19th August and NOC is 2173.

Hello Everyone. Shockiing discovery when India woke up today. 2173 also reached cap. :'(

Can anyone please share the mail ID to mail CIC.

This is to find out if September / October applicants fall in the 1000 CAP. If not, better to start preparing for EE. :

I am Sept 16, 2173 app.

I can't say categorically but I am of the feeling that this accommodates possibly till 1st week
of September please.
We have to wait till next week to read from the forum and SS on that last captured date please.

I guess the numbers reported by CIC are definitely after charging and not completeness check as we guessed earlier. Had it been completeness check done till aug end, 2173 would not have been capped so soon. If this is the case I am ready for surprises with regard to 2171 .Guess in couple of days that will be capped too..

Do not panic this is completeness check prob september n october. 2173 was already 700 end of august so may be september and october but it cannot be chargin bcos last updated in SS was 27 aug and on 10th Nov, so idealy they will not be chargin 300 applications in 2 days but completeness check, yes, i think for 2171 there will be one more update to reach 700 or 800 n then it will snapout.

Just wanna share this for 2173 - August applicants (to give hope and inspiration)...


I was able to talk with a fellow Pinoy in FB group and he has same experience as mine. He was a 2174 - June 20 (DD mode) applicant. When 2174 reached 1000 capacity, he got worried because last charging was June 19 and he didn't know the status of his application if included in the 1000 cap. After 2 weeks, he emailed LVO (Manila - VO) to inquire about his status and had known that his application is already In-Transit to the Visa Office. Also, he got his UCI number.

As per conversation with him, the update for 2174 (Oct 10 - with June 19 as last charged date) even reached the date of July 4 applicants. This means that August applicants has hope for PER as long as no problems with the documents.

I am an Aug 13 and the last charge date for 2173 is Aug 12. I hope this helps to all 2173 who's like me a worried pal. ;D

My application reached on sept 11.
As the cap has reached and no reply has been received from cic yet,
does that mean there is no chance for sept/oct applicants anymore ??

Canada migration will be easier and quicker from 2015 onwards as the Express Entry is being launched.

A few points to note:
• No occupation list. Everyone can apply as long as they meet the pass points
• Applications will be in a pool for 12 months and highest scoring applicants will selected from that pool
• Every 2 weeks CIC will select applicants from pool based on points.
• Couple will get more points due to spouse ability.
• Those selected will be invited to apply for Immigration and their case will be processed in 6 months
• Those with a job offer will score extra points
• Allocation for Federal Skilled Workers for fiscal year 2015-16 is expected to be 51000

Economic immigration, which is based on an individual’s skills and experience, presents an opportunity for foreign workers and their families to migrate to Canada through a variety of programs. Of the immigrants to be selected for permanent residence in Canada in 2015, between 169,000 and 185,200 are expected to be economic immigrants.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) estimates that around 51,000 federal skilled workers will be selected in 2015.

cool..thanks puna.. my only worry is whether the numbe 553 is till end of august or end of july ...if its till end of aug .all fine...

it is end of aug bcoz it was 348 at the end of july 1st or 2nd week and there was no update from 8th Oct to 8th Nov and in one month there were 553-348=205 which is 2 weeks of july and 4 weeks of aug, in addition they will charge only after completeness check is complete so accordingly last charge was 27th Aug for 2171 that means aug completeness is already completed and they are working on Sept Apps.
