But the overall still shows 8101, and if you notice the last update date below: its 10th Nov.
Its little strange. I am sure, all out here must have been watching the overall cap as well, till yesterday, it was not updated.

But how come if the underlying cap for 2173 is increased but the total count remains the same as last update, i.e 8101.

Something to read between these lines.

I guess you should do two things:

1- Check your spam folder too.
2- Drop a mail to CIC querying the same.

Lastly you should be very very much in the cap, as people from July and late August arr in.

Also quite strange is the following:

I have been checking my email account also spam folder since june 15 but it always empty no reply from CIC

secondly, it seems, by showing 1000 cap in 2173 it tells new candidate stop applying for 2173

IN CIC Website NOC-2173 showing as 1000 where as total application count as Total received toward the overall cap: 8,101 of 25,000.

Its strange this time only 2173 count updated nothing else.

Is that something like to send message to all the applicants who are going send applications going forward saying not to send ?

I am oct-3 applicant .could you please tell me what can I do now?

CIC has the best resources to make the most accurate estimate on when the caps are going to be filled. They know the trends and have information like how what percentage of the received apps are likely to be complete and so on.
Is this them trying to communicate the fact that no new application will be in the cap? We don't know that, but according to forum estimates and number of applications the have received per week for 2173 and even 2174 this is likely the case.
My application was received 1st week of Nov but at the same time I started gathering docs for my next app as I was suspecting that with about 40-50 apps per week, 2173 is likely to be filled in Oct. But I also don't buy into pessimistic estimates. Why would CIC let people send in heaps of applications for the hot NOC 2174 when the had a good estimate of it being filled in 2nd of July? That is 3 month of 2174 applications to return unopened, and it is very unlikely that they didn't have an estimate for 3 months. literally more than a thousand application for 2174 should now have been returned due to cap according to app per week estimates, as the cap fill was reported a month ago...why aren't we seeing more?

There are two application returns for CAP for 2174 in first week of july in spreadsheet, but how reliable are they?

When we will come to know that our application is rejected due to cap closed.
My application reached CIC on 16th oct for Noc 2173.still I can have hope?please let me know the process for EE.
Chances for getting PR is easier than Fsw or difficult process.?

I can't say categorically but I am of the feeling that this accommodates possibly till 1st week
of September please.
We have to wait till next week to read from the forum and SS on that last captured date please.

You are not vindicated. You are just updating your 'facts' with info you receive. In September you were telling people 2171 was capped. In November, just before these updates of the last few days, you were telling someone 2173 was safe.

There's nothing wrong with trying to be of assistance, but unfortunately you always like to sound as if your best guess is fact.

Then you ignore when it isn't right.

You want to call out now that 2173 is capped?

Grow up, you're not a guru and don't need to be. No-one here is, everyone is just guessing along with the info CIC provides. Pretending to be someone who knows better is just misleading.

I have sent two query regarding it to CIC (cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca) but i get standard reply no insight

what should I do?
