Hi all, my experience of previous company is for 2174 and of greater duration, and latest experience of lesser duration is of 2171. How will be specify the NOC category in which we are applying? Can I mention for both?

The experience letter provided by company does not contain ALL the details that have been asked, it just mentions designation and some points around my duties. Should I submit an affidavit (containing all details like salary, promotions, etc.) along with the company issued letter?

Apply the NOC give your more point based on your exp.

I am notice that CIC mentioned "Letter must include". I think this is mandatory.

Now if i apply in 2172 would i be able to get 15 points for more then 6 years experience?

according to cic website below is the details regarding work exp.please help guys!!

Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

You will receive points for the number of years of full-time paid work (or the equivalent in part-time paid work) you have obtained within the last ten years. Full-time means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week.

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application.

In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. Follow the Determining your NOC category instructions above to find the NOC 2011 category that matches your skilled work experience over the past ten years.

You must provide proof of your work experience with your application.

Hi Guys,

As, I submitted my original copy to QSW program last year in 2013, if I can submit a notarized copy of my IELTS TRF for FSW program. Please someone clarify. I contacted, British Council to issue me a duplicate copy. But, they rejected my request saying they issue only one original copy. Also, could you please share with me the format of employment reference letters. As, I need them due to my previous employer not willing to issue me the same on his letter head. I decided to get it from my colleagues. So, Please advise me in which format I should get it them. I appreciate your kind responses to my post. Thanks.

Hello,

I just want to ask if you could apply to 2173 even if you are not a licensed engineer? I am doing the duties but my concerns are the employment requirement. Hope somebody can help.

Thanks.

Yes, you'll get full points, provided you have to supply supporting documents on experience with reference letters of all work during the last 10 years,td

IELTS original certificate is mandatory. Usually the agency gives extra copies of certificates, but you have to claim at the time of applying for the exam,td

You are having major work experience in NOC 2174, but your present job connects to NOC 2173. If it's correct if both are closely connected I think you should apply with the NOC you are currently in and can show past work experience, becs the cis say the applicant should have at least one year exp in the designated NOC. Pls have more advise from some others too,td

Hi can2174,

Since the "2174 people" do not do much design work (as per the descriptions of main duties mentioned on the NOC related Gov't website), your current job does not seem like it is of type 2174. As ToDreamLand has said, I think it falls under NOC 2173. Then your second job is 50-50 between 2173 and 2174. Lastly, your oldest job leans toward 2174.
