Hi Forumites,

Just an update from my side for 2172 Application Fillled on 15 Dec 2014.

Just now I called CIC seeking the UCI number( I told that I need the UCI number for my express entry profile), the agent told me that they are not allowed to share the UCI number and asked me If he can help me in any other manner. Then i asked for status of my application, the agent asked me few questions to verify my identity and then told that
He can see that there is an application filed by me on 12 Jan under express entry program, but nothing further.

He tried again and then confirmed that they have received my file for NOC 2172( I hadn't shared the NOC till this conversation with him) on 12th Dec( though DHL confirmed the delivery on 15th Dec 2014 at my end). He advised me to reach out to central intake office.

He told me that he will be sharing the contact details via an email to my email id(which again he confirmed from the system)

To summarize, 2172 applications have been opened till 12 Dec(date of my application confirmed by CIC agent, and 15 Dec by DHL) which means 2172 is not capped for sure till 12/15 Dec.

2172 Guys, do call CIC and share what you hear,...

Is there anyone whose case was transferred to Colombo or Poland visa office instead of NDVO?

If yes then was this information mentioned in the PER email or came to know later?

By looking at the various posts in forum I feel NOC 2172 was capped on Dec 10 / 11 /12 ( not sure on which date exactly).
After finishing out the MI review for the pending applications they may charge couple of more app's if the total did not reach 1000.

Hard luck for all who applied after Dec 12th in 2172 , let's wait and see till we get the final confirmation.
Do not loose hope as there are other doors which will open up in due course of time !!

I called CIC yesterday & today through majicJack. Both cases the agents are replied me that it’s early to know the status as they received it 16th December (NOC:2172).

Yesterday: She can’t able to give me the UCI as it was not created yet but my application was opened & it’s in processing stages. Can’t proceed the conversion as line disturbed and eventually off.

Today: Agent told that they opened my application. But it’s early for status. I should call them after 1 month at-least. Surprising fact is that she gave me 8 digit UCI code.

By the way my DD is not encashed yet as per my bank.
What does it mean ?

Try to get your UCI Number and check online.

Call on 1-613-944-4000. (International number) Try with Skype or magic jack (free calls to Canada)
Use options 1 1 1 Line will be transferred to CIO.
Use options 1 1 3 1
You will be asked application number thrice. Do not enter anything.
Line will be transferred to a CIC call centre officer..

Ask for the UCI number giving the reasons why you want the same.
They will ask you some details which you need to provide.
If you are lucky you might just get the UCI number.

its been over 2 months, my dd got encashed on 24th Dec but no PER yet, is this leading to NER and my app received on 10th Oct. what could be the causes for getting delay... Im bit worried and thinking whether to go for EE or not..

Have you called CIC? Try calling them to check your status. That's the best thing to do for now.
