I applied permanent residency through NSNP (Nova Scotia Nomination Program), means the province nominated me before i applied to CIC and HKVO. well, just another channel to join the canadian dream ;D

I have got the second line update, hope ::) to get MR soon (before the end of this year)
 
I've got en email from HKVO requesting police certificate, RPRF and my kids' birth certificates within 30 days.

1) Is it normal HKVO requests such things before MR? I haven't received MR yet
2) Could anyone who has experience in applying police cerificate from HK police share their experience? I browsed HKP website and it mentions that the original letter is needed for such applications. Is a copy of the email also valid? The email does not show the name of my wife, so should I also bring our marriage cert as an evidence for applying her police cer?. HKP website says the police cert will be sent directly to the consulate, but the email asks to send all documents in a single package, could I request HKP to provide a copy of police cert to me?
3) The email asks for my kids' "notarized" copy of "original hospital" birth certificates. Is this equivalent to the common BC we've got in HK?

I checked ecas today as well, and SLU was there!!!!!! I am same as Bachar one of those who got circular email request on may 19th to submit additional docs. This is first update since then and also seems to be group update.
Let's hope all runs smoothly from here on.

Same here! I am also one of the May 19th people. Strange thing is that they say it started on March 2nd. Why didn't they update it before?
Let's hope this means MR soon! ;D ;D ;D

"Normal" is not part of the process ;D
anyway, i had the same process, i provided all the docs incl paid the RPRF and got MR after that.

Print the email from HKVO and bring your marriage certificate to the police hq (in wanchai), pay the fee and they will provide a receipt for you as they will send the original police cert directly to HKVO. Attach the receipt to your documents package.

I got it "notarized" by a notary public, cost me $2000 for 2 birth cert. some people do not do this, but i just want to play safe

Anyone in HK ever done assessment for Developmental Pediatrician report and IQ Evaluation report?
HKVO request the report for my 4 y.o. daughter as she was diagnosed with ASD recently.
I checked one place in Admiralty and it costs $12k :o :o :o
Valuable advice would be highly appreciated.

Yes, I received it this am. I'm a July 2014 applicant.

Oops, sorry, I should have said. I don't know how to have all my info on the left panel. We are October 22nd applicants.

Anyone else hear of interview after mr? I was hoping that this was the last stage and then we will have passport request in average 2 months?
