9.1. Putting an application into process at the CIO
Following a positive completeness check and final determination of eligibility for processing under Ministerial Instructions, if any, in place at the time of application, the CIO will:
 create a file in GCMS;
 enter “SW1-FED” in the Category field in GCMS;
 cost recover the applicable processing fees and enter confirmation in GCMS;
 record the GCMS file number on the paper file;
 send an acknowledgement of receipt letter to the applicant informing them that their file has been placed into processing and, if applicable, transferred to another office;
 transfer the paper file to the processing office in accordance with existing file transfer policies; and
 transfer the electronic file to the processing office in GCMS by making that office the primary office for processing.

I just read the entire thread of conversation and really was curious to ask a question. I hope that one of you would be able to help me out with that.


My application for FSW 2014 under NOC code 0111 Finance Manager was received by Sydney, Nova Scotia on 1st December 2014 for a completeness check. The current no. of completed applications received for Finance Manager is 362 out of a cap of 1000.

My highest qualification is PGDM (Finance) and a graduation in commerce is my second highest qualification of which WES has considered my Graduation qualification. I have an overall experience of 5 years with 2.5 years of experience as a Finance Manager with relevant NOC.

Could you please confirm what are my chances to get a PER assuming that my application is complete and fully authenticated and How long is it going to take for the amount to be deducted from my credit card?

It will take 80 to 90 days to get your credit card charged.

Be positive, you will be in cap

My documents were recieved by CIC on 15th December under NOC 2131, hoping that it will fall within the cap and getting charged soon!

How are the forms supposed to be printed? Do we print one page per paper or do we print a sheet of paper on both sides?

I had apllied under noc 1112 bt my file got returned as cap reached.
Can i apply under 0111 just now?
Will i fall within the cap?
And which is the last date to apply for fsw?

when did your last applications was received and when did CIC I return it please share these details

Yes, its possible that CIC have received more applications in Nov, Dec.

Then we also have to wait 3 months for cc charge

I can Wait that is not an issue I am more concern about making into CAP as I am in very critical position NOC 1111

Canada Express Entry Program: Steps by step process

Candidate files an on-line express entry form and will be asked to provide information related to his qualifications, experience, occupation, Language skills, Canadian Education, Canadian Experience, Spousal language skills, job offer etc.

2. The applicants will then file their profile into the Canadian job bank.

3. The electronic system will then rank the pool of applications and conduct draws from such filed applications. Higher the candidate appears in the rank, better are the chances for him to get an invite for filing a Canada PR application.

4. Applicants chosen from the draw will be invited to file an application for permanent residence visa with CIC. This application must be filed within 60 days of receipt of invite failing which invite will be withdrawn. So is it critically ready to be ready with complete file and all required critical documents at all times.

5. Application will be filed with CIO, Nova Scotia with required fee. Rest of the process including background check and medical formalities are likely to be conducted at Local Canadian consulate.

6. Finally, the candidate will be asked to submit right of landing fee and passports for stamping.
