Dear wangjinwei,

The processing time for amending COPR is 6 months. It has no impact on your PRC processing (which takes 3 to 4 months). However, once you get your new COPR you will have to renew the PRC as well, so that the biometric info on it is based on new COPR. The renewal takes around 6-8 months.

Thanks very much, Diplomatru. I understand now.

You didn't apply for her at the same time? Why was she not included in your application for PR? Was she over the age of "dependent child"?

She was born after we had applied
I have CPC few mails earlier but no response from them yet.

If she was born after you applied and prior to landing, you need to return your COPR to CPC-O and let them process the child. If you land with current documents you'll never be able to sponsor the child to become Canadian PR. This stuff was explained in the RFV letter btw.

Hi

My daughter is US citizen (US passport holder)

we got our CoPR, can she travel with us to canada
Do we need to get PR for her at later date.

Sid

Sid- you SHOULD have included her in your application if you plan to settle permanently in Canada. I believe you should not go ahead with Landing until you have her on the COPR as well. While landing the officer asks you to sign that everyone from family is listed on COPR if not I'm not sure if they will
Let you land. I also doubt there is any other way you can apply for her PR later meaning she being a us citizen will only be allowed to stay 6 months in Canada.

COPR letter says if a mistake has occurred tell them rightway. Good luck

I knew I had read it somewhere also where it said that if you failed to include spouse or dependents that you would NEVER be able to sponsor them. That's why I was asking him what the circumstances were.

koolsid4u: Definitely get this fixed CPC-O before landing.

Hey Diplomatru,

the officer at landing left a note on my file that he is still waiting for a reference letter from my employer. Do u think this will cause a problem Or can that officer revoke my PR in case my manager don't send the letter?

Thank u!

Yes, you were granted conditional PR.

That is strange. Why do they still need reference letter at this stage? Don't they finish all these assessments before sending the RFV letter?

This might be a POF issue if he relied on the letter of employment to meet LICO

it doesn't say anywhere that it is a conditional PR.
they asked me for POF and a letter. I told him i only need either one of them; he said no, I need the two.

Have you shown them any POF or letter when you were landing?

Is here anyone sent passports to Ottawa after Jan.26th?

My passports have reached Ottawa for 9 days, no tracking information yet. What is the average time now?

Thanks,
