They have to clear current passport backlog before they can stamp new visas.

Yes, maybe. I can think in this way to release my anxiety :)

Yes, that is the only thing we can do now.

I remember in last year, some friends waited for a long time to get PPR after they got DM. Because the emails were lost ??? ??? ???

They were told the emails were sent out but they didn't receive them.

Hopefully this would not happen again :P :P :P

i remember that! do you think we should give cic a call and see if ottawa have sent us any email?

Yes, you should call and give them your Application Number, so the will verify your most updated status.

I called them last week. I think they just indeed haven't sent any email to me yet.

You also called them, right?

Did they verify your application?

Thanks,

Thanks,

i called last Friday, they checked my file and said that the decision has been finalized and i should wait from the notice of PPR very soon. They did not say anything than that. That's why i suggest to call and let them checked your most updated status. Make Your Call Right right now. don't wait. it does not hurt your application.

Kind of an off topic, but it's quite important.

@Folks, who completed the landing formalities are invited to become part of an advocacy coalition group to bring back the three years residency obligation for Cit. application.

If you want to contribute to this effort, send a letter to the MP of your riding and Minister John McCallum, reminding them how they opposed Bill C-24. This is postage free, so you'll just need an envelope. If you need further instructions - let me know.

Guys,

I got my passport with visa and copr yesterday (18-01-2016) afternoon via Expresspost. This afternoon, I did flag-pol landing at the nearest US border (Douglas/Peace Arch POEl) from Vancouver. It was a very smooth experience and they just asked a few standard question without asking pof or even proof of address! The officer asked me to right down my mailing address on the CIC copy of copr and initial and sign both. Then he signed and stamped it and gave my copy back. He only asked for my work permit saying that as a PR I do not need it anymore. Finally, after applying for my pr card he said congratulate and welcome to canada and gave me a canadian flag. ;)
Also, he told me that error in original point of entry on copr doesn't matter. I would like to take a chance to thanks all of you for all your helps, thoughts and encouragements especially Diplomatru, pepe, farahnz, kamran, uwaterloo and my dear friend viva. It was a special moment in my life today and I wanted to share it with you. I wish all of you the best in your life.

Cheers
