Unfortunately no medicals.
This is a well-known case for Egyptians who've sent their applications on the beginning of May 2014.
The had received PER in August 2014 and since then they were having no updates at all as the visa office had put the processing of their files on hold due to the unstable political circumstances in Egypt.
BTW, one applicant has posted today that he's received his MR & RPRF. He received it only 2 days after sending the updated bank statement

No dude ..it was just that they have received all my documents and medicals and my file is in line for a review from and officer . They can not give me a specific date on when the file will be reviewed but in case they require anything else they will email me ..something like this

I think they can only be faster. Being a new party taking office, they want to demonstrate that they are better at running the country. Beating the previous government's processing time is one way to show so. If they delay it, they are apparently not practicing what they claimed in their campaign. They will look bad especially they are just taking over. Our cases are due for finalization, they will try to process ASAP. They can claim that ""within xx months to taking over, they have cleaned the backlog", what a feat! Lol

I believe that the election of MPs does not affect the CIC officers reviewing applications as those officers are public servants while the MPs are elected politicians. Reviewing and processing applications are normal business of the government. It should not be affected by the election and new party taking office.

Hope all of us receive the golden PPR email in the coming weeks.

It's the day which new government would come to the power. But, it may take time afterwards to see an activity in our files!

I don't believe our delay has anything to do with elections and having a new government.
It may only be the express entry files.
After the EE's 19th draw, less than 70 days are left to have 6 draws.
Not sure if they give our files a priority on such hard time they are having for finalizing the EE files as promised on the beginning of 2015.
My only wish it to get the PPR before the beginning of the coming year.

I am getting depressed and just want to know whats going on with OTTAWA VO , why is it taking them so long? Most of us completed the MR and we are waiting for the last steps (DM & PPR) which should be easier and faster than the previous steps we have accomplished. For some reason they stopped the process and gave priority to other things. People have to plan for their future and this is not helping at all. EE guys have submitted after all of us but yet finished the process and ready to go and we are still waiting for the unknown to happen. call centers arnt a help anymore and we are depending on what we hear from each other. So sad but true.

Its actually unblvble they way they are behaving. Freezing the entire fswp.

Hope the new govt gives us some surprise!

Most of us who are left behind are December applicants. I hope that they will complete the process at least by November.
I have some other plans that are on hold too...it is depressing but what can we do. We've been waiting long enough from PER to medical, we are just the unlucky ones!
