Congratulations to all potential immigrants and future Canadians upon victory of Liberals.

Liberals are in favor of open immigration policy of Canada and appointment of new Liberal Minister for the immigration might help to relax the immigration rules and expedite the processing of existing files faster.

I guess your file's location would be "appears RFV" if I'm not mistaken. Right?

Hi,
Found this link and I think it applies to most of us that are waiting for either DM or PPR after medicals have been received. It seems to me we are not the only ones who are suffering.

Guys,
I would appreciate if you can clear for me something, Based on the CIC website our VO (CPC-Ottawa) says that it takes around 11 months for processing. Does that mean the processing time starts from when our application has been submitted ( in my case 12 Dec) or it starts from the date our file was allocated to CPC-Ottawa?

I am saying this because I phoned CIC today and the operator informed me that I have to wait a couple of weeks more (precisely till the 11 of November) until I reach exactly the 11 month period and from there they can act and follow up with my file and see whats going on but on the other hand my previous understanding was that the 11 months start from my AOR date.

Appreciate your help.

It's a hard question to answer...
Some people received information from the operator that its counted from the date which was received (as per ECAS) other say that is from the date which was received in CPC Ottawa.
I called before and they said to me that is the date counted from the received date on ECAS, so i'm waiting more 4 days to call then and ask for some answers.
