I did my landing on Sep 29 at Calgary airport. After getting off the plane, we got in line for initial immigration/ customs. They had just one level of checking for everyone. They looked at our documents and directed us to immigration. There were only 2-3 people already being addressed so I was called in couple of minutes. The visa officer didn't ask any question. Just signed copr and asked us to sign the same. And then asked us address where pr card should be mailed. Then congratulated and welcomed us. Then we took our bags and were directed for customs approval of b4 forms. He was extremely friendly too. He just looked at the forms. We had seperate forms for accompanying goods and goods to follow so he said they should have been in just same form. Which I don't think us true. But he stamped all pages and have me one copy and of both and he kept one copy of both. And the we were shown way out of airport.
We were out of airport within an hour.
Next day went for sin and got it in 15 mins. They just issue a paper. No physical card anymore. Then went to registry for drivers license and health card. But the guy there said he can't issue it as he needs physical mail showing address proof which I don't think is right. But I have US drivers license so I didn't bother to argue.
I opened bank account today in td and they have good New comer package for new immigrants.
Doing this from phone so apologies if there are any mistakes.
Calgary is very very beautiful. Weather is good too as of now. My other goods are coming next week by truck and I used unpack.com for that.
All the best to all who are waiting. I hope you guys get it soon. Soon all the pain (of wait) will be gone. So pray and be patient.
Let me know if anyone has any specific questions

Congratulations man!!!southpaw86 said:Guys,
My attorney confirmed at EOD yesterday that he had received my COPR and stamped passport. I should be getting it today.
It took exactly 2 weeks for CPC to stamp and send back the documentation. Hope things move faster for those still waiting.

I have no doubt about it.kwyatt75 said:Well there was an express entry draw on September 18th and now another today. Maybe that is what is slowing down the processing.

This is unfair to us. The EE is draw almost every two weeks. Will they always deal with the EE applications instead of 2014 FSW applications??AliMo said:I have no doubt about it.
I'm afraid that they may be holding our files till the 25th draw is done :/
Many congratulations Vinaj. All the best for your new life in Canada.vinaj said:Hello everyone.

I don't think there's a way to convey our concern to themnbminister said:This is unfair to us. The EE is draw almost every two weeks. Will they always deal with the EE applications instead of 2014 FSW applications??
Is there anyway to express our concern to the CPC-Ottawa?
