Hey guys,

New to forum and recently discovered that there is a CPC-Ottawa group. While I was able to read through some of the last posts but your feedback would be highly appreciated. Following are my details:

Application Received: 08/01/2014
PER Received Date: 10/13/2014
Local VO Started Processing: 12/31/2014
Medical Request: 01/07/2015
RPRF Request: 01/07/2015
Third Line update - Medical Received: 01/14/2015
RPRF sent: 04/13/2015
Passport Request: Awaited
4th Line Update: Decision Made - 05/18/2015

Its been 2.5 months since I had received 4th line update. Is this normal? I saw some members posting about slowdown at CPC-Ottawa but just wanted to check if anybody is also experiencing the same.

Also, I received 4th line update directly without any Passport Request. Again is this normal or does that indicate something?

Thanks.
It's happened with few people here in the forum but the time line was maximum up to a month not 2.5 months as you have written ..I would suggest you to raise a CSE with CPCO asking about your file asap !!

Thanks for getting back. The CSE page for Ottawa quotes "We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times". And this is what my attorney had mentioned as well. He said they will not respond as I am still within the processing time. Based on all you seniors' experience, should I still go ahead and submit a CSE? I know 2.5 months is a lot of time and that is what concerns me.

Let them say what they want to say.
Just send an email so at least that way you will notify them that you haven't received it. There have been cases where passport requests were sent to applicants (including myself) but were never delivered and so were sent again after a month.

Just sent them an email

That sounds reasonable. I will make sure an email is sent today itself. Thanks for your response Vinaj. Appreciate it!

I totally agree with vinaj he got his PPR after a month of DM and he kept on sending emails and got a reply too ..so it's best to send them reminder emails and also call CIC and check through a call center operator regarding ur case status .!!

Hi guys,
Just in case we get caught in the same situation, can you send us the email address and is there a draft that we can use as will.

Many thanks,
Kerdek

Hey Folks,

Can any one help me understand if we apply for temporary resident visa does it automatically goes to CPC ottawa?

The VO send me an email saying Please explain why I failed to declare The refusal of an application for temporary resident submitted to CPC ottawa? I never applied through ottawa, in fact I applied when I was visiting for couple of months in the US with my wife but I've applied online at Canadian embassy in New York and that was after I submitted her PR application.

Whenever you apply for any kind of visa a UCI no. Is generated and it remains the same for a good interval of time ..nearly 5-6 years ..when you applied for Canadian temporary visa ..the same UCI no. Was also used to identify your request ..and since it got rejected it came on your profile .

Don't worry just explain them the fact that you were raveling to the U.S. And and wanted to visit canada hence applied for a visitor visa and since all this happened after the PR application was filled so I was not aware that it had to be reported ..in case CPCO needs any other details they can get back to you .
You should be good

Vinaj should be the best person to help everyone with that ..dude do share your request letters you send to CPCO with everyone !!

Thank you for your reply Harri, but is this correct that even though I applied online from New York and I thought the temporary visa application would process in the US Canadian embassy but instead it goes to CPC Ottawa?

Finally! Congratulations!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Extremely happy to share that I just got my passports back with COPR.... 270 days from applicant reached....

My tracker had activated yesterday late evening and passports were to be delivered tomorrow. But around 4 pm today, I checked status and it said it has reached local post office which is few blocks away... I ran (as post office closes at 5), it was raining heavily so slipped on the street amidst heavy traffic of NYC, lol, tore my pants and reached post office. Talked to the lady who refused to give it and then somehow I convinced her to give it to me.... Wow... Just came back to the office all wet and in torn pants...

Quietly came on my desk and trying to dry up using desk fan.... Lol

Not working tomorrow... Weekend begins in few... :P :P :P

Sorry was extremely busy this week and couldn't share my tracker activation earlier.... Visa was issued July 9, the day after passports reached... No more complains though

All the best everyone and thank you so much for helping me in all sorts... I wish everyone's journey is just as exciting.... Love you all :-* :-* :-*

Dude it's Harry not Harri ..and secondly immigration process is a centralized process no matter even if you have applied from any part of the world ..if you have the same passport your history would crop up int he system regardless if it canada ,india ,U.S. Or any other place ..you should be concerned to give CPCO a nicely build reply ..

It works like this that if CPCO puts ur passport no. In their system it would generate that this person has applied earlier also from so n so country for whatever visa type to travel to Canada .
All you earlier travel history of applicant to Canada is available with them

Thank you Harry for the feedback, in my case I actually didn't know that I needed to submit this information so I will explain this to him.

Any one if you guys have any other updates for me do please let me know.

Vinaj if you can share some info in regards to letters would be great plz.
