Correct me if I am wrong but I think we are missing that we need to see our SLU first before we get the MR mail .once the SLU appears then the MR won't be long. So guys keep checking your ecas until you see the silver line.

all the guys earlier got the e-mails first and then the SLU or TLU..it's just that since last month the updates are coming first and the mails are coming afterward..but ya i agree with you..just keep on checking the ECAS and update each other if there is any change ..

Thanks guys! I didn't expect to get this email so fast. But ECAS still shows "In process". Why?

kwyatt75, wish you to get the same email in 3 weeks!

vvd22, I think you'll get PPR soon.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

you are way too fast.
Oh Man, if my application was received on Dec.24, it might be sooner now.
UPS told me it would arrive on 24th, but finally it was 23rd :D
Waiting continue......

We are forgotten by them or what? The early to middle March PER?
I am thinking does it because the PCC reason?
I wonder whether the other guys who have already got MR submitted the PCC with application at first?

Man i have no idea ..i was thinking of calling them and asking about the cyber attacks might have hampered their email process but since lot of people got their PPR yesterday the e-mail system seems to work all fine..its just a few of us stuck up with a lazy officer who is on a vacation or not ready to send MR's.

I suggest that you don't land but rather wait until you are back from china. I am pretty sure asking for urgent processing is more than just asking the borders officer and even if, traveling is not considered an urgent matter to process your card faster. If you land once you are back from china it won't make any difference

For those peers who are waiting for passport return:

Any of you plan to land right after? I am asking a favour: can you help me to ask the border officer if a new permanent resident's PR card application can be processed by urgent processing?

I will visit China between mid August and late Sep. But I want to land asap rather than waiting for another 3 months after my trip in China. However the CIC website says it takes 72 days to get PR card which means there is 0 chance for me to get my PR card on time....From the layout of the CIC website, it seems as though renewing PR card has the option of urgent processing (takes about 3 weeks for those who have evidence to travel in next 3months), but I am not sure about the initial PR card.....

I really appreciate if anyone could help to ask and tell me the answer.

My PER was March 21
I got MR on June 2
I had only submitted my PCC, my wife's is still pending.
The MR email also asked for her PCC and RPRF for both of us.

I'm not sure why it is taking longer for some. I hope you get news soon. Best wishes.

Thank you for your reply. I just called the call centre and made an inquiry with the agent. There is urgent processing due to traveling, as shown on CIC website, but it doesn't not apply for the new immigrant. It will take up to 3 months to proceed the PR card. I think I might just land after I am back from China. :)

Well, totally have no idea what to do :(
I am thinking whether I should send my FBI PCC myself. Seems it is not necessary.
