You are perfectly right, zorroo.

Thank You Diplomatru. I do not know the story behind your name but shouldn;t it be phdmatru, based on your knowledge about canada immigration.

is there a rule that you can't drive your own car or is it by your choice that you want to rent one? just curious as I'm planning to do my landing process at Peace bridge tonight but drive my own car ::) ::) ::)

Hi Just chill,
I am saying that based on the posts I have read in the thread. My understanding is if you drive your own car it is assumed that you are trying to take it without paying taxes as you getting PR means you are immigrating. For me also taking my own car would have been easier. I do not want to rent either. If somebody can explain this more it would be great.

Thanks

You humble me with your comment immigrantUSCAN!
As a matter of fact, one doesn't need a university degree (let alone a PhD) to work as case processing agent, so visa-related routines are not that difficult to grasp. 90% of the related information is available on governmental websites, but for some reason a good number of applicants prefers to rely on secondary sources, who often spread nonsense on forums. I recall a user explaining that CPC-O spends three weeks of the passport turn-around-time to thoroughly check the information on issued COPR, because they don't allow walk-ins, and that they need a couple more days to find an envelope, if you provide them with a prepaid self-addressed label from the US. I can go on with this anecdotal list for quite a while, and if you look at my karma, you will see that haters somehow manage to get their balls broken by simply reading my comments like "Pakistan and KSA are considered super high-risk countries by Canadian immigration" (z-list). I say, let them have it, for with this kind of attitude they will not succeed economically in Canada when they land (there is no CIC admissibility for retardation, so this condition doesn't put their visas at risk, huh). The important thing is that mostly there are very nice people here, such as yourself, and I enjoy to socialize with them. As long as the balance is in favour of the latter group, I will keep visiting the forum from time to time to eliminate myths and translate from CICnglish into proper English :)

I noticed an update on the Spreadsheet.
19 November Applicant received MR today from Ottawa Visa Office.
Is it normal that they skip applicants from 3rd November till 18?
Do they work in order or it is random?

Another week gone and no PPR. People from October are waiting for PPR while some of August applicants still don't have it. Is there anybody from August who is waiting for PPR or it is just me alone?

So you are telling us that an ordinary post office clerk intimidated you :D :D
This is Canada, we are all foreigners (well ofcourse except the native Canadians :)) I encourage you to stand up to anyone and let your stance on something remain. Even directors, managers at work respect you and wont go that far.... Anyways P.O Box and courier address are all the same. The only difference is one would be received directly by hand and one has to go through a third party (aka. letter box) then by hand - Goodluck!!!

Applications are reviewed in the order they were received.
